HOUSE WORK, GENEALOGY, BEARDS, FISH ON!

MONDAY BLUES:
There is just something about Mondays; even if your not working!   I was up early (before Betsy left for work) and sat around looking at scrapbooks as I didn't want to wake up the Milkman.  There is lots of sorting to do in the boxes which were moved upstairs so we could paint but I couldn't focus.  I thought I could combine stuff but that didn't fly.  I went to the computer and couldn't post comments so I left that too.

I'm big on rotating foods; especially with Betsy and I both buying.  I removed all the meats from freezer and made a list.  Who but the retired have time for this idea?  We have two refrigerators so I found out that I have enough meats on hand to make 25 meals!  Guess I haven't done such a great job of rotating.  Well, with camping; I get behind.  Yah, Yah.  Now I'm looking up recipes to use the meats up.  I'm thinking of trying Chicken Parmigiana!  I need a grocery trip first.

Bob is painting.  He has the biggest part of this home improvement.  He sanded the patch work and taped the woodwork early this morning.  I asked him to check the border removal as I worked taking it off with out to much light. He painted the ceiling too.

I CAN'T REMEMBER THE LAST TIME THIS ROOM WAS PAINTED.  CEILING WAS REALLY DIRTY.
I just kinda kept jumping around all day with ideas.  Little computer work, reading blogs, digging for files again, washing paint brushes and trays, dinner, and then into some Genealogy.

It's late now and time for bed.

TUESDAY:
Oh Lord, I suppose I have to go get groceries.  Heaven help me?  We are out of bread and milk.  You'd think I had small people living here the way we go through milk.  I did it, store wasn't to busy either.

After lunch, I made a pot of chili and man was it hot.  One dish was Enuf!

BOB PAINTED THE WALLS.
THEY ARE BEIGE EVEN THOU THEY LOOK PINK IN PIC.
PANELING IS  BROWN ON BOTTOM.

After supper, Betsy painted along the ceiling and wall line, straightening up the boob boobs of over lapping paint.  Then I ran the sweeper to pick up loose pieces of wallpaper.  Bob then pulled the paneling off the bottom part of wall to look for mold.  The insulation was clean, none there.  Amen.  there is some on the closet doors.

After supper, I browsed thru a site that my niece, Tina, is using for the Lang-Rendulic Family History.  My Heritage.com, Family Tree Builder.   I watched a program preview, then went thru her postings of our family.  My she has done a lot of work.  It was super fantastic to say the least.  Many of my Mom's niece's and nephew's have passed on.  There was one divorce that I didn't know about.
My program (Family Tree Maker) is on our lap top and I wanted it on my desk top but when Bob tried to load it, it wouldn't agree with Windows 7.  Poop!   I want to continue the Rindo side but I think I need to start a new program and see if we can combine all the Lang entries that Tina has done.  That would save a lot of work.  Tina has my granddaughters' recent wedding dates posted all ready.

WEDNESDAY:
Ah crap, I slept late again.  I hate that.  Now it's hurry and catch up.  It's sprinkling a bit, it's suppose to change to snow.

Bob is putting a second coat on the walls.  He painted most of the shelving out in the garage yesterday.  He actually gave up a day of fishing with the guys today.  Too much mess here.

SHELVING BOARDS

BOB DESERVES A BREAK!
A load of wash is humming along, and I have supper ingredients all ready.  Betsy has another new recipe.  Chicken breasts with whole cranberry sauce, Catalina salad dressing and Onion Soup mix.  Will let you know if it's a keeper.
The above chicken dish is not a keeper!  The chicken was very tender but the sauce really tasted of too much vinegar.  I would guess that came out of the Catalina Salad dressing.  Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

We watched some of the Red Sox-Cardinals game last night.  There wasn't a thing on worth watching otherwise.  Many of the Red Sox's were in scruffy beards.  Then the audience was pointed out and many fans had beards; some real and some purchased at a costume store as they were many different colors and you could see the elastic holding them on the fans heads.  Our friend answered my Face Book question about it plus I looked it up on Google and it's a supportive mood.  It's nothing knew as many Hockey teams do the same thing before play offs.  It's just that I didn't know about it-out of touch, ha.

THURSDAY:
Another morning, and it's cold.  43o  There is some frost on the shed roof and one flower pot looks like it was frosted.  We finally turned on the heat this week.  It's been 66 degrees in the kitchen and I asked Bob for just a itsy- bitsy, little degree more.

The library just called, the Nicholas Sparks book is in and on hold for me.
Yeah!  Just in time, I just finished a book by Sidney Sheldon last night.  I have lunch with friends today so I'll swing by the library and pick it up.

Lunch was a downer!  One friend had a good health report (breast cancer) and the other had a bad report. (Lung )  After being told three times that it was all clear, she now received a bad report-more spots.  She is refusing all treatments as she doesn't want the side effects again and she is going to do her bucket list!  That takes courage.

We watched a little of the Baseball game last night and wouldn't ya know, I missed the grand slam by David Ortix of the Red Sox.  Shoot!

FRIDAY:
No snow here.  What do ya know, looks like I may have a normal day.  I have quite a bit of work done this morning already.  Bob asked if he could go fishing with the guys so while he was gone, I made an apple pie.  I have the 20 ounce apples and I only had to peel three of them.

LOOK AT THE SIZE DIFFERENCE
COMPARED TO A REGULAR EATING APPLE.

While that was baking, I cleaned the bathroom.  I can't get the brown mold off the grout...rats!  I soaked it twice.  When Bob came home and he looked at it he then thought he would have to pull the grout and redo.  Boy more work.

Disappointed about that, I went outside and pulled some plants (still in blossom) and planted the seeds my sister gave me for Lupines.  One can't work on the same project all day!  Ha, that's my poor concentration acting out again.

Bob sent a couple texts while fishing.  He caught two fish and one was the biggest one ever caught at that place of that kind.  Yada, yada...  So happy for him.
YEAH!  NICE! 22.5"
Bob mentioned to the guys that he couldn't stay as long due to the painting job and Murray spoke up and said, "you should have called me, I'm a professional painter."  Who knew?

We had lunch and Bob is back in the room painting.

SATURDAY:
It's time, instead of remaking the bed, I changed the sheets and  put the flannel sheets on the bed.  That will be nice and toastie tonight.

I helped Bob most of the day.  We took the carpet up and tied it in rolls to get rid of it.  Then I ran the vacuum to pick up the dust.

CUTTING INTO STRIPS
THIS PIECE IS TO RECOVER THE PORCH STEPS.

Bob and Betsy started putting down the new flooring about 3:00pm., and worked until 7:00pm.
It went down nice and easy but it all takes time with the fittings. Lots of work.

BETSY KNOWS HOW TO USE ALOT OF TOOLS!
GET THAT IN THERE RIGHT MILKMAN!

THIS FLOORING IS SUPPOSE TO BE ANTI MOLD.

Now we are couch potatoes...tired out.

SUNDAY:
Well, we are at it again with this home improvement.  Old Age is not for sissy's.  My bones are aching.  I'll bet Bob and Betsy really hurt after kneeling to do the floor.  It looks so nice.  They are trying to talk me into a different set up for the room; I don't take to change very well and I'll bet it will cost me money!!!!

Bob complained this morning about the flannel sheets.  He said it wasn't very silky and he couldn't roll over easily.  Sorry, get used to it!

Well, I washed and scrubbed all day; blinds, closet doors, main door and face plates for electric switches.  The room looks great and it will be a shame to put all that junk back in there, but if you don't have a basement, that's what you do with it all.

So now supper is over and I'm ready to relax so guess I'll post now and go eat some Halloween candy.

Ours was a hard working week, I like things better when we are camping/traveling.  Hope you all had a good week.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

SOUR CREAM - USE IT UP. HOUSE WORK, TEMPERATURE IS CHANGING FAST!

Halloween curtains at my niece's house in NC
MONDAY:
Another late rising for the morning.  Seems like a nice clear day, cool but that's where we are heading now folks, downhill weather.

I have the wash going, Bob is comparing insurance companies AGAIN, to see if our last year decisions should be changed.  Boy, the increases!  It seems so dramatic?  Bob is telling me to get my other knee done before the end of the year when hospital admittance care  goes up.  Sorry, dear heart, I'm not ready!  It has to hurt every minute to go thru all that again.

Right now I'm dealing with a swollen ankle.  It hurts!  It was a couple years ago when that happened for the first time, I went to Dr. Sue and she gave me prednisone for six days. Hoya, Hoya!  One more thing to deal with!   I'm probably eating to many fats!  Or is it acids?  It's those green peppers and tomatoes.

I have an appointment with Dr. Hoy at four today, check up on the stainless steel knee,  maybe he will look at the ankle.  Don't bet on it girlie, that's another office co pay.  Right?
TUESDAY:
Bob and his friends went fishing about 9:00am.  It is a nice sunny day.  I have the radio on and a song came on with these words-"And the birds are singing!".  Didn't catch the name.
I had some sour cream to use up so I mixed a batch of cut out cookies and put them in refrig to cool.  Then I made a Yum Yum Coffee Cake to use up more of the sour cream.

YUM YUM COFFEE CAKE                          MARY THOMPSON/DSS

Cake                                                                Topping
1 stick margarine                                            ½ cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar                                                     ½ cup white sugar
2 eggs                                                              1 tsp.  Cinnamon
1 tsp. Vanilla flavoring                                  1 cup finely chopped nuts
2 cups flour
1 tsp. Soda                                                      Combine all ingredients
1 tsp. Baking powder
½ tsp. Salt
1 cup sour cream

Combine margarine, sugar, eggs, and flavoring.  Combine flour, soda, baking powder, and salt.  Add dry ingredients to egg mixture alternately with sour cream.  Pour ½ batter into greased 9 X 13” pan.  Cover with ½  of topping mixture.  Spoon remaining batter over topping mixture.  Cover with remaining topping mixture.  Bake at 325○, for 40 minutes.

This recipe is so easy and it's so delicious.  A gal that I worked with at Dept. of Social Services first made it and shared it at Break Time.  Her degree from college was Home Economics but she was working as a Case Worker educating clients.

Yesterday Dr. Hoy ordered three x-rays of my knee.  Then we looked at them on his computer.  All looks to be in line!!  My inquiry about the swollen ankle was answered with try exercise!   He really didn't think it would be Gout as it's unknown to be on an ankle.  He strongly suggested water therapy.

Our last tentative camping trip has been cancelled for this weekend.  We decided that we may as well winterize the motor home.  So while a turkey breast was baking in the oven; I started carrying into the house the remaining groceries, medicines, water and pop.  Then try to find storage for it all in the house.  Bob used the air compressor to blow out the water lines.  I have no idea what he has to do to winterize the washer/dryer.  Now it's done.

 WEDNESDAY:
It's raining this morning.  Good thing Bob and Betsy mowed the front lawn last night as the weather station says rain for the next five days.

We went to Lockport today for Bob's stress test and I had a hair cut.  He walked for six minutes this time instead of the three minutes directed on previous tests.  So happy for him, he passed!   That completes his physical for this year.

I went shopping at Bon Ton before my hair cut then after it, went back to hospital to pick him up.  I missed seeing Debbie and I feel bad about that but she and Bob had lunch together and visited.

Once home, we both took a nap, it was an early morning for us.  We had our four o'clock coffee and then Bob mowed the back yard and the portion of field that he keeps mowed.

I made supper and gathered the garbage for pick up tomorrow.

We settled in to watch TV for the evening.

THURSDAY:
Nothing to do but get ready to cut out those cookies that I had to make on Tuesday.  It would have been so much easier to throw away the sour cream.   I cut all pumpkins and it used the dough up in a hour.  I must have 100 cookie cutters!  Doesn't everyone?  It was a treat to entertain the grandchildren with all different kinds when they visited.

Bob went up to Medina today to get the truck serviced.  Oil change, grease, tire rotate..etc., plus check out the transmission.   He left at 8:30am and I didn't hear from him.  Not even an update.  That was getting my feathers ruffled a bit.  At 1:30pm, I sent him a text.  No answer!  Now I'm ticked.  He arrived home about 2:30 and had never heard the phone beep.  I let him have it!!!!!   He tries to change the subject; okay Bob.  He took a car for a test drive.  How did I know if he was okay...a simple phone call.

After supper Betsy and I put icing on the cookies.

NOW BOB HAS SOMETHING TO EAT WHILE TAKING HIS PILLS

FRIDAY:
Bob is off fishing with the guys again.

I showered and went to BJ's and the Farmer's Market.  Farmer's Market only has one more week on Friday's.  I'll miss them.  The 20 ounce apples were in so I bought a 1/2 bushel...apple pie coming up.

Ha, Bob was home to help unload the groceries.  He was so excited as he finally caught a fish.  FISH ON!

YEAH, FISH ON!
ALBINO TROUT

I wanted to make a soup recipe that I found while browsing thru a Rachel Ray cookbook.  (30 minutes meals)  Well, it's in the pot all ready for supper but it took me much longer-1/1/2 hours.  It's has  chicken meatballs/spinach & tomato in it.  Looks good.  But I didn't think she used enough broth so I added more chicken stock.  After all the broth makes the dish!

CHICKEN MEATBALL SOUP!

While I made the soup, Bob started setting up tables in the garage for the storage of stuff to come out of the craft room so we can paint.
That will be a beast of a job!
 SATURDAY:
We worked most of the day in the bedroom/craft room  that we want to paint.  So much stuff to sort threw.  Then move it all upstairs or out in the garage.  Betsy was a big help, she had a lot done by the time I got ready to work.  Just look at the junk!

That evening David and Donna stopped on their return trip from Utica Home Coming.  Utica lost the football game but they still had a good time.  Eric took them to a brand new Bass Pro Shop.

NIKI, ERIC & DAVID

TRYING OUT A FOUR WHEELER

ERIC THINKS HE WANTS TO BE A HUNTER NOW!

SUNDAY:

This will be short and sweet.  I worked on taking the wallpaper border off in the craft room today.  I'm pooped!

HAD TO BREAK TO ANSWER A TEXT!
I did have TV in there so I caught glimpses of the Bills game.  Later we watched the Steelers game.  They both won, how about that.

We are going to do Face Time with Sarah in about five minutes so I'll close and post.

We had a good week, hope you have too.  Thanks for clicking in.

THE PACE IS SLOWING DOWN AND IT'S BORING!

MONDAY:
DARK, ANGRY LOOKING SKY
It rained all day; with no outside work Bob was right on my tail.  What are we doing today?  Catch that "we."  I had one more lousy sleeping night and I wasn't in to good a mood to work hand in hand.  Paying a bill took us longer than usual as he has to open every line item, JUST GET IT DONE!  Funny thing, I didn't see him come around to help make supper.

After supper, I was working on the computer in Excel.  Here comes Bob, whatcha doing?  Oh Brother!  He pulled up a chair and proceeded to direct things.  Actually he was a big helper as I have forgotten many of the functions or procedures to prepare and print a full Excel worksheet.

TUESDAY:
It's a nice bright day.  I had a lot that I wanted to get done this morning then I wanted to go shopping as Bob has gone fishing with the guys.

As I was shopping around Batavia today, I noticed back hoe machines tearing down the old building where Tim Horton's will be built.   It's over across from Tops grocery store.  They were on the Town Planning Board  agenda on Tuesday so they must have received their last approval which was needed.  We really don't need two locations in Batavia but this will be a much better location as the place downtown has a horrible entrance and exit.  A person has to be real careful driving thru the downtown place.

Betsy is in a real cooking mood.  She bought several items for meals at the store on Sunday.  She made meatballs to go with the frozen sauce tonight.   I'll just let her go at it as I know it won't last that long.  It's nice to come home to a hot meal.  Know what I mean?
WEDNESDAY:
Another beautiful day!  Cherish them all!
Now that activities have calmed down, the girlfriends and I are back to luncheon dates.  We met at Terry Hills Golf Course for lunch today to celebrate one of their birthdays.  One more year and she will be 65 and eligible for Medicare and relieved of the $625.00 monthly payment for health insurance. She is counting on the relief.
After we came to our house for coffee and desert.  I wanted to show them the video of Annalynn's song at the wedding.  One of the friends had made carrot cake cupcakes.  (large muffin size)  They were so good!  I haven't made that recipe for so long.

CARROT CAKE CUPCAKES

Bob came home from a meeting and joined us.  Then he went out to trim the grass edges.  Betsy called, she would be late as she had to pick Christianna up at the Rochester airport.  Christianna had been asked to help out a Juicy store in Washington, DC, for three days as they were operating without a manager.  Her flight home to the Buffalo airport had been cancelled so she had to book what was available.  Joe came here to pick her up.  After they left, Bob and Betsy had warm ups.  I still wasn't hungry.
THURSDAY
Today we are both going to lunch.  The morning whizzed by.  We dropped some books off at the library before meeting our friends, Bob and Bonnie,  at Miss Batavia Restaurant.  Then we all piled into Bob's car and he drove to Caledonia RV Repair.  The guys have heard good conversations about the place and wanted to check it out.  Bonnie and I checked out the sales shelves, then went out to look at motor homes.  Some time had passed, and I asked the guys if they were partners yet?

On the way home, I spotted an outlet and Bob was kind enough to stop so we could all shop.  It was a little dumpy, cheap stuff in boxes, and my Bob got all stuffed up and went outside.  Tooling on down the road, we hit the Pennysaver printing place to check out the .35 tablets, then home.  It was a nice afternoon, weather beautiful again.

CALEDONIA OUTLET

FRIDAY:
Bob and David were gone fishing before daylight.  I entertained myself, it was nice and quite.
I spent most of the time updating one of my collections on the computer to make printouts.  I need to up date some of the family history program.

I'm back to cooking as Betsy has had it!  She bought the meat and staples for Western Stuffed Peppers AGAIN!  I just groaned. Seems like I have cooked them quite a few times.  Don't look a gift horse in the mouth, right?
How's that go?

SATURDAY:
I was up early, made coffee and toast.  It was cold and quite; so I went back to bed.  I slept till 11:00am.  My that felt good.

The day has past, and I wonder what to heck did I get done today.  I dusted the living room and bedroom furniture but I didn't do the floors.  I was distracted to some thing else.  Who knows what?

I hunted for a lot of files.  We both have medical papers to fill in for this coming weeks appointments. They ask the same old questions.

After supper we went for a small amount of groceries.  The old building is gone where the new Tim Horton's is to go.  The race track parking was jammed packed; must be everyone wants to see their remodeling.  If people can't find jobs where do they find money to stick in the machines?

SUNDAY:
No Sun today!  Very overcast and it did sprinkle some.
Everyone found their own jobs or ideas for the day.  Bob tried to wax the camper.  Betsy did her washing and went to the store.  I headed for my scrap booking room and finally finished the 2012 Christmas album...yeah!
I'M NOW ADDING SYMPATHY CARDS
TO CINDERELLAS' ALBUM.

My craft room smells like mold!!!  I suggested that we tear the room apart, paint, and remove the old carpet for the wood look flooring.  Not today or this week, but maybe next week.  That will be one nasty job with all the storage in there.

Bob found a fuzzy Caterpillar outside.  He wants to know what the coloring means?

HARD WINTER, EASY WINTER???

I have mentioned to Bob that maybe we should buy a generator this year.   We have had such mild winters; I worried this would be the year we get dumped on.  Channel 2 had pictures on Face book about the surprise winter blizzard seven years ago this week.  Buffalo lost power for days and thousand of trees were ruined.  Hope my feelings are wrong.

This is it for the week.  Nothing to exciting happening.

Hope you have had a good week.  Thanks again for clicking in.

FISH, FLOWERS, FAMILY, FUN, FILM, AND FOOTBALL

LAST ROSE OF SUMMER
MONDAY:
My morning was spent taking care of the laundry.  But boy I made up for it the rest of the day.  I have a good book going and I pulled out the old excuse-my legs hurt from climbing the stairs etc.  I made lunch and supper but right back to the book as soon as clean up was done.

I had one heck of a mess in the kitchen. I had a head of cabbage that I wanted to fry.  I got out my machine to cut it and had way to much.  So I shredded the remainder for coleslaw.  I had cabbage pieces all over the place.  That will cure my cabbage taste buds for another year.

Rumor has it the fish are coming in!  The fishermen are calling! Fishing plans are being made so Bob went for his fishing license.

TUESDAY:
Bob was up bright and early.  He was putting on his fishing gear when I went out to the garage in my night clothes to tell him "have fun!"  He had to many clothes on; so he was struggling to get his suspenders up.  I told him to take off the sweatshirt; it isn't that cold.  I also told him my phone is on charge so don't call to early with fish stories.  Just in case he breaks the No Fish On routine.

I finally got up enough gumption to go shop.  I needed a couple deco things from Michael's and I wanted to go through Bed and Bath, then for groceries.  Today is 6% off at Tops.
Bob said they had to be home in time to pick up one of the guy's kids at school, so I deviously planned to arrive home with groceries when Bob was home.  It's tough getting the grub upstairs.  No such luck, I was off by 15 minutes and had the car mostly unloaded.  NO FISH ON!

My friend, Mo,  called while I was in Tops.  We planned a coffee clutch.  She came over about 4:00 and we had a rip roaring visit.  It's a wonder Bob slept thru our noise.

After Mo left, I mixed up the meatloaf.  Of course, this made supper later than usual.  After supper, I spotted one deer out back while on the porch, but crud-it's getting dark so early; the deer are hard to spot then.

WEDNESDAY:
After cleaning today, I sat down to rest a bit.  I shelled some Lupine seeds that my sister Toots had picked for me.
LUPINE PODS

THEY SHOULD LOOK LIKE THIS NEXT SUMMER
IF I GET THEM PLANTED.

Betsy has left for the Buffalo airport to pick up Sarah.  She should land about 8:45pm tonight.  As I went thru my paces cleaning house today, I couldn't help but think how nice for Sarah to have 6 weeks vacation; just starting her first year of employment.  I know she hates her job; there's no feedback, no visiting, long hours etc. etc.
I don't remember what vacation I started employment with but you had to work a year to earn one more day.
I do remember enjoying the National Holidays that was given.  It was nice to make a long weekend, or to attach to the vacation.   When we first moved to Stringham Dr. our living room was empty.  I always thought about shopping for furniture then.  Bob used to live in fear of what I might buy on those days off.  He was told at work that just because the County gives those days off; don't expect it there.
Just recently while visiting at Rocky's birthday party and seeing the new theater furniture there, everyone was ogling and wanting the same.   Betsy made a remark that my living room chairs have to be 40 years old.  Whoa Bets, not quite.  25 for sure.  She never included the end tables which are definitely 40 years if they are a day.   I didn't update the furniture as I thought we would down size and then the excuse was after the dog...just didn't happen.
THURSDAY:
I was the last person up today; Bob and Sarah were yakking big time downstairs.  I joined them and caught up to the conversation while Sarah cleaned her jewelry.  She and Betsy have beauty shop apps. and then are going to see the newlyweds' apartment.

Bob has the car nearly waxed, he has the tires to do yet.  So today he wanted to paint the chimney.  So I helped with holding the ladder.  Big of me ahe?  I watered my plants, cut some of them back for winter, and just hung out to watch him on the roof.

BOB PAINTING THE CHIMNEY.

We watched the Bill's and Brown's game on channel 17.  I have a new rookie to follow-TRAVIS BENJAMIN #80 on the Brown's team!  Boy, did he make action on the field.  I loved it!  My football knowledge is limited but I enjoyed his antics.
FRIDAY:
It's raining, it's pouring!  And the Old Man is snoring!  In this case, it's the Old Woman!  I finished another book last night and then checked out PBS...I ended up watching a documentary about volcanoes in Ice Land.  3:00am rolled right around.  Today not so ambitious and half the day is gone.
Sarah has the our truck for appointments, so we are house bound.  I love it when she is home; I see the latest fashions when they come home from shopping, I hear about the new movies, cell phone features and etc.

SARAH IN HER NEW SHIRTS FROM T.J. MAX
AND HER NEW DR. MARTIN BOOTS

Oh, the library called, the movie I wanted to take camping is in.  I had another but it was a big mix up with the title so I'm anxious to pick this one up.  When I had my knee replaced, Sarah put it on our laptop computer to watch as I couldn't go downstairs yet.  It's a musical called Chicago.  Bob hates musicals so no use asking him to watch it.
SATURDAY:
After breakfast, I drove to the library and picked up the movie.
Betsy and Sarah left for shopping before the get together.  We putzed around and then showered and left for Eastern Hills Mall too.  We had about thirty five minutes so we each ran to the stores.  Bob to Orvis (fishing store) and myself to Bon Ton.  Bon Ton was having discount coupons for old clothes brought in and it was packed, 10-15 people at check outs.  No thank you to that waiting period.

We all were to meet at Dave & Buster's (D&B) at 4:30pm.   It's an Eat, Drink, Play and Watch Sports place.  Wow! The noise!  It's a different type of- "I'll get your money!"  Loads of video games for young and old and it was busier than a casino.

I'VE NO IDEA WHAT THIS DID
BUT LOTS OF COINS IN IT.

MAT (ROCKY'S FRIEND & ROCKY)

WHEELS AND WHISTLES AND BELLS

THE FOOD WAS GOOD
LOOK AT THE SIZE OF DONNA'S
CHICKEN SALAD

We rushed to get to the theater on time; we went to see THE BUTLER.  It's about a butler that worked in the White House for eight presidents.  At the end, we were both disappointed as to our expectations.  The story was more about his whole life than life at the big house.  There was lots of Civil Rights involved.  I expected to see beautiful decorations for Christmas, more on the choices of china and beautiful set tables, redecorating with each of the elected wives of presidents...Nadda!  Oprah was very good.  I had trouble understanding Forrest.  But then I'm losing the hearing in my old age.  It was good but I wouldn't go see it again.  We topped off the evening at Tim Horton's with David & Donna.

SUNDAY:
More rain!  Betsy & Sarah scurrying around getting showers-packing.  They left about 9:15 for the airport.

I started to print photos for the refrigerator.  I'm tired of the fish pictures.  Bob and I both had problems with the photos; the white borders.  After so many tries, I just printed them-however-white borders or not.  It depends on whose camera and how big the pixels are, I guess.

This afternoon it's quite, everyone watching football, ha!

Talking football...Our grandson, Eric,  is now out of the game with the recent injury to the same leg as surgery last year.  He is grossly into Fantasy Football with a team and all.  Look at the cute home made trophy he has.

FANTASY FOOTBALL TROPHY
Betsy did her nails for this week.  Cute!

Now she is in the kitchen making our dinner...Chicken Florentine.
VERY GOOD!

Time to wrap this up and go join the fans in the living room.  Hope you have a good week.   Thanks for clicking in.
