TIME TO DECORATE! THANKSMASS, ELFSTER AND SNOW! THROW BACK RETRO!

MONDAY:
Well, hang on to your hat!  The storm moved in about 11:30pm last night and it's still pretty windy outside now.  I don't see any damage, thank goodness.  No power loss.  Snow promised by late this afternoon.

Today I'm the birthday gal.  I have had many good wishes on my phone and on Face Book.  Thanks everyone.  Nice to wake up and see all the comments.  I'm working on a good day.

Betsy promised to pick up a pizza.  Bob has been more than helpful, offering to make a big breakfast...let me wake up please.  Bob wanted to get me an ice cream cake at the store yesterday.  I had to tell him that I don't really like them, they are grossly over rated.  Give me a good brownie, scoop of ice cream and some hot fudge...I'm happy.
GOODIES!

TUESDAY:
Still a bit windy.
A few pick up things to do and then get ready to drive to Lockport for a beauty shop appointment.  I'm having a perm so hope it holds the "lift" better.

I want to spray my UGLY pine trees (ugly because they are cheap-few branches)  first.  I'll be working on making the tree that we saw at Christmas In The Country craft show with snow and Cardinals.  It was pretty.

The hair appointment went well, we stopped for coffee with Debbie afterwards.  She has three beautiful trees up all ready; a glass tree, a Disney tree and I don't  know what the third one is called.  She has her Dept. 56 houses out.  The front door and pillars are all done.  Debbie Do!  Everything looks beautiful.

DEBBIE'S FRONT DOOR
SHE USED THE NETTING RIBBON  TO WRAP THE PILLARS
THAT IS ON SO MANY WREATHS NOW.

We drove home and had a late supper.  I did some computer work and Bob watched his TV stories.

WEDNESDAY:
After getting up, I looked for deer and birds-nothing.  Seems after the first gun shot is heard-no deer!   We do have flocks and flocks of geese coming and going in the back field.  I tried counting them and gave up...must be 3-4 hundred as the field is black with them.
I had three greeting cards to get out so I took time to do that.  Then it was pick up around house until time for shower and go to Rochester for  shopping and when all said and done, headed home before it was dark.
I made Sloppy Joe's for supper, watched the game shows, conked out for a nappie, then went out in the garage to work on my UGLY trees.

UGLY TREES
BOB WANTS SNOW ON HIS OUTDOOR STUFF TOO!

ALL SPRAYED WITH SNOW

LOOKING BETTER ALREADY!

THURSDAY:
Today with a full head of steam, I started digging in all the storage.  I have decorations packed under the stairs, out in the garage, and in the shed out back.  It's late to be putting up Thanksgiving things but I knew I had them and wanted to see where.
I FOUND THE PILGRIMS

THIS SET WE MADE DURING OUR CRAFTING DAYS.
BACK THEN, I WAS VERY GOOD ON MY HEGNER SCROLL SAW.
I PAINTED THE FLAT COATS AND BETSY DID DETAILS.
BOB DID ALL THE BIG CUTS ON THE  BAND SAW.
A LITTLE BIT OF RETRO
MADE BY SARAH 1998-1999 SCHOOL YEAR
SHE WAS PROBABLY 8 YEARS OLD.
HER INDIAN PEOPLE
SO CUTE!
ON MY KITCHEN SHELF
SO SHE WILL BE SURE TO SEE THEM WHEN SHE GETS HOME TUESDAY.

It's an effort to move in the stairs storage as I have to be careful with my "steel" knee-it hurts to kneel on.  If I wasn't so fat it would help too.  Once in there, I had to open and look at everything...entertainment!  Out in the garage, we didn't put the same items in the correctly marked tubs last year so that was a pain.  Live and learn! Dig, dig, dig.

I have the house decorated in half Thanksgiving and half Christmas.  Hoya, hoya!  The Snow Birds celebrate Christmas with their families on Thanksgiving and call it Thanksmass.  Bet they don't decorate to much before taking off.

HERE'S A SANTA I MADE IN MANY DIFFERENT COLORS.
THEN I COULDN'T FIND THE MOPS FOR THE BEARD ANYMORE.
THIS LITTLE SANTA SOLD LIKE HOT CAKES!
FRIDAY:
Today I concentrated on putting up my Dept. 56 houses.  It takes forever just to unpack them.  Bob put up a new 5' electric strip and secured it down so I didn't have to keep pulling on an extension cord.
I broke the marshmallow stick off one Santa and Bob took that to the garage to  drill the hole better.  He chipped the mittens but at least it's fixed.

COCA COLA HOUSE
GRINCH HOUSE
I had these two houses up and had to start supper.  After Betsy helped me put the rest up.   Then she wanted to bring in her tree and put it down stairs this year.  She put the lights on and it's ready for ornaments-tomorrow.

SATURDAY:
What an ugly day!  Cold, windy and snow.
I spent a good deal of time on the computer trying to figure out how this Elfie (Elfster) program works that Debbie found and suggested that the family use to exchange names for gifts.
I had trouble getting the program to accept a user name and password.  I called David and Debbie for help.  When that finally happened, I was good to go!  Yeah, if Grandma can do it, the rest of the crew ought to be able.
Not so, Bob had trouble too, I tried to help him but he clicks the mouse to fast and it's very tiring to redo directions!

I even posted my picture on the site.  The program lets you create your wish list.  It even takes you to sites and transfers the pic of item you would like and info back to your list.  We can read each members wish list.

I was so excited, that I just kept adding things.  Oh, by the way family, I only want Clark bars for my stocking; not a box of 100.  I couldn't find just one candy bar!

After being tired of sitting at the computer, I had Bob bring in the boxes of the Disney Loony Tune houses so I could get them put up.
He also brought in the 1/2 trees for the living room wall.
THIS IS BOB'S IDEA OF HELPING ME DECORATE!
Always joking!

I didn't quite finish with the Loony Tune houses when we decided to go out for supper as we both wanted spaghetti.  So over to L.B. Grand in Leroy we drove in this horrible weather.  The restaurant was not busy, no waiting for a table.

SUNDAY:
Clear morning!  Checking out the snow received, looks like the wind was worse than the amount of snow.  It really blew!

OUT OF OUR WINDOW
After getting up, I finished the Loony Tune house display.

DISNEY LOONY TUNE HOUSES
Then the stockings were hung!  We need two more this year for Mark and Erin.  Everyone buys one stocking gift for each person with a $10.00 limit.  If a person is lucky, you can receive a hand full of gift cards.

After lunch, I unwrapped the ornaments for Betsy's tree while she put them on the tree.  It's always fun to look at the ornaments and remember where we traveled to buy them, many states.

ALL BETSY'S AND SARAH'S ORNAMENTS

So goes my week and I imagine everyone else is in the same mode.  Now to switch over to Thanksgiving again.  We are going to Debbie's, I'm bringing cheesy potatoes, creamed green beans, and date nut bread.  They are running a Turkey Trot  for charity in the morning.  God Bless them all!   I love to see the costumes on the news!   I hope someone feeds the people who have lost their homes across America.

Hope everyone has a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Thanks for clicking in.

MONDAY: VETERAN'S DAY.
Many postings on Face Book of Veterans.  The President laid a wreath for the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery.  No Mail.  Will Troy Polamalu of the Steeler's really cut his hair in honor of vets?  God BLESS THEM ALL.

Today is washing day.  I ran between the machines and my craft room.  I remember the days of the old wringer washer, helping Mom, you stand there and the whole day is washing.

ABOUT MID MORNING, THIS PHOTO CAME IN FROM OUR SON, DAVID.  HE WAS ENTERTAINING CUSTOMERS AND LANDED THIS BIG BROWN TROUT.  WHAT A WHOPPER!
In the craft room, I worked on a couple scrap pages before I loose the pictures again.  I really didn't loose them, but I put them on piles and never get them done.  I've had these for a year of so.

MY NEPHEW'S HORSES
I THINK HE HAS SIX NOW.
HOSS WAS ONLY FOUR MONTHS OLD
WHEN DONNIE BROUGHT HIM HOME.

DONNIE'S DREAM TO HAVE A TEAM.

I started sorting another box of left over pulls for an album of one of the grand kids.  I looked out the window and saw snow coming down.

OUR FIRST SNOW!
TUESDAY:
We just wore ourselves out today.  We went to visit with the supplemental insurance vendors again at the Office For The Aging, the bank, and Sherwin Williams.    Then to lunch at the Polka Dot, we were in the mood for a good cheeseburger and fries.

THE POLKA DOT HAS BEEN HERE FOR YEARS.  SEE THE OLD CHAIR BACK AND DRINKS SERVED IN MUGS.   THE GRILL IS RIGHT BEHIND THE COUNTER AND IT SMELLS SO GOOD IN THERE.
Bob has pulled the molding off the door frame to the garage door.  He is sanding down the scratches of all the dog scratchings and then will stain and varnish them.

I made chocolate chip cookies when we got home.  It's been kinda a dry run here, I haven't baked since the apple pie, two weekends ago.   I made supper and just kinda flopped around the rest of the evening.

WEDNESDAY:
Early this morning was up setting!  I have been telling Bob that we need to get someone to trim our red maple tree in the front yard before the county comes threw with there trimming trucks and ruin the tree.  They just chop! The limbs were touching the wires.  Too late, here come the trucks.

HALF THE TREE IS GONE!

Today, my friends, Mo and Diane, treated me to lunch for my birthday. (next week)  We decided to try a place that opened this summer called Sweet Ecstasy; it's a Bakery, Bistro and Banquet place.  Fresh bread every Friday!  The entrance is on Bank Street, across from Bank of America, and it's in the old Batavia Club Building.
The baked goods are in the entrance room, in an old display unit.  The interior is old and the owners followed that theme with decorations.  Old tables and chairs, bent old silver forks and spoons were used for napkin rings.  Dried flowers and pumpkins adorned the fire place.
The menu is limited to breakfast and lunch, with baked items for dessert. The menu  closes at 2 pm., after that it's just coffee and dessert.   They had a good lunch crowd so it was really noisy in there.    Our food was delicious!  We all choose the croissant with chicken salad/cranberries.  I'd go again!

HUGE SANDWICH!
At home, I had beef in the crock pot for Stroganoff.  I was so full I didn't want to fix supper.  So I read a book a little.  Then I made a salad and fixed the noodles.  If I make it in a pan, I usually take the pan off the heat before adding the sour cream but I thought I'd try it in the crock...well, it curdled-to hot!  But the family was delighted with a hot meal and I felt like a super Mom.

THURSDAY:
The morning whizzed by.  After lunch I made another recipe of chocolate chip cookies to take to GS Eric when we go on Saturday.  I downloaded the recipe from the restaurant web site of the Sweet Ecstasy.  It makes more cookies than the recipe on the chocolate chip bag.

(GS) ALEX
FLYING UP!
VANCE AIRFORCE BASE, ENID OK.

We received word and this picture today that grandson, Alex, has completed his training on the T-6A and  will now begin training on the T-1A Jayhawk.

Alex is so excited!  This was his first choice instead of cargo planes, of course, his grades and previous training was a prerequisite!  Isn't this plane beautiful!  More gas, more speed, longer distances.  Alex maybe flying across the United States, buzzing over our house!
By supper time, I was so tired I really didn't want to cook.  So I tried the chicken fingers on the back of the Bisquick box again.  That's quick and easy.  Not much ambition after supper so I watched a "dumb" movie on TV.

FRIDAY:
A nice warm day, a raincoat was sufficient.  Most of the snow is gone.  We spent the day in Rochester as I had a doctor's appointment.   After lunch we shopped around a couple stores.  We need a couple $7.00 gifts for our camper Christmas party so we hunted for them plus things for the family.  We made a couple returns also.

Supper was warm ups.  We are going to the Utica football game tomorrow with David & Donna and they will be here early so we got our warm clothes ready.

We watched a little TV and both started reading.

 SATURDAY:
We were gone from 8:30 am - 8:30 pm today.  David & Donna were here bright and early and we shoved off.  Most of the ride, Eric was texting us, "where are you now?"  He was anxious for us to arrive in time to go on the football field while he was recognized as a senior football player.

SENIOR GAME
THE LAST GAME AT UTICA
ERIC #4

The weather was beautiful, we were very comfortable in the stands.  It was a long game, as Utica action was best in the last quarter.  They lost!

DURING THE GAME, THIS BIG CARGO PLANE WAS CIRCLING OVER THE AREA.  IT MUST BE IN TRAINING FROM THE BASE AT ROME, NY, WHICH I THOUGHT WAS CLOSED.

After the game we went to Olive Garden for supper.  I had the eggplant parmigiana which is always delicious.

PLENTY TO SHARE

The family surprised me with birthday cards, (lots of lottery tickets enclosed) and they had asked the waitress to bring a piece of cheesecake with a candle for me.  I'm sure glad they didn't try to have 76 candles on it!
RASPBERRY CHEESECAKE.  DELICIOUS!

Departing, Donna and David loaded up Eric's car with the groceries they had brought and the cookies I had brought him.  We left in the dark, but the moon came up and it was huge.  A full moon!

 SUNDAY:
We had good intentions for today, but it ended up as a recoup day.  A trip to the grocery store for some necessities and dinner in the crock pot, then we settled down to watch the Buffalo Bill's game.  Ha, I made it thru the first half of the game, guess I covered up to much an the warmth induced sleep.

If ever, I quit Blogging, I want you to know the reason could be because sometimes I get a little upset and porky working with Bob.  He handles all the editing and mails the photos to my computer in Dropbox.  That is a big help.  BUT we fight over the photos to put in , he gets hurt if I don't want to use them all in the Blog.   Such a trivial item.  True Love Never Runs Smooth!

Hope you have had a good week and my thanks for dropping in.

CAN ANY CAR BUFF ANSWER MY QUESTION?

Did you guess who the mystery fiddlers were in Sunday's post?
Answer:  Betsy and Bob

MONDAY:
Oh, boy yesterday the neighbor hood was all white again.  Temp in the 30's.  Wow, it is usually January before we see that cold... Not a creature was stirring.

I never went out of the house.  I worked on sorting some of Sarah's scrap booking paper and pushed the washing thru.  See, I have Sarah's, Betsy's and my scrapbooking supplies to keep stored.  The girls are not into it right now, but maybe time will change that too.  Having been a Consultant for Creative Memories; I have every suitcase available at that time, so does Betsy.  We could take a Scrap booking cruise and have everything we need packed.

Since the pork spareribs weren't quite done for supper, Betsy and I drove over to Michael's to pick up some "more" plastic boxes for our storage.  We want to get rid of all the cardboard boxes as she thinks they hold the moisture and may cause the mold smell.  She has just as many projects as I have.  Right away she transferred them and labeled the containers.  How sweet it is!!!  Before all the remodeling, I had to wonder if I would be capable of scrap'n for another 5-10 years...to justify the expense.  I sure hope I have some of it done in another 5 years!

BETSY'S PROJECTS

After supper, I wasn't worth beans; I had enough for the day.  We watched the game shows and looked for something else,  then I fell asleep.

TUESDAY:
I rolled over in bed and wondered if Bob got up in time to go fishing with the guys.  He was gone!  Oh, a peaceful cup of coffee!

Today is Young At Heart Day (6% off for old timers) at Tops grocery store so I went on line to their site and made a list.  As I was driving there, at a red light I noticed a Cadillac SUV..(big one) waiting to turn left.  Now the car is still-tires aren't moving-but the rims are just a turning so pretty.  Can some of you car buffs tell me how that could be?  Was I hallucinating?

At the store, I noticed these jars of Pigs Feet.  I'm surprised they are processed.  Both of the Grandma's made these things.  Grandma Lang called them Zilts.  I can remember her scratching the hairs off the feet before cooking them.  When they cool in a dish, a gelatin forms around them.  They all loved to sou-doole them.  The most disgusting thing to put on a table!

Bob was home when I returned with the groceries so he helped me unload them.  We had lunch and went up to the Fire Station to vote.  We both wanted to rest/nap after but a neighbor came over to visit.  Then our son, David came.  A nap was not to be.  David wanted a cup of coffee, but Bob said "first we take the air conditioner out of the living room window!"   Nice to have help arrive!  Bob had removed the two smaller ones out of the bedrooms yesterday.

WEDNESDAY:
I'm still sorting and organizing my craft room.  I finished going thru Sarah's paper then put it into one of the new plastic tubs to keep it dry and clean.  I had three different boxes of stuff that I had pulled for specific albums that have been done and just didn't empty them at the time.  It takes a long time to sort and place in the correct place.  Bob put up the hangers for my cutting rings.

I made chicken and rice for supper an it was horrible!  I had Carolina rice and the last time I used it, it remained hard in the stuffed peppers.  So nothing to do but pre-cook it.  Well, the result was a sticky paste.  Yuk!  The package is empty now so back to Uncle Ben's.  While cleaning the table, I dumped about a half of the casserole dish, nobody stopped me.

In the evening, I watched the CMA awards.  Country isn't the country that I grew up listening too.  I couldn't understand the words for the background noise.  Know what's funny, I think I watched it other years and thought the same thing.  Why do I continue to submit myself to it then?

THURSDAY:
After breakfast, a shower, and getting dressed, I started gathering up all the Halloween decorations to pack them away.  Bob brought the six tubs in from the shed for me.  It was a big job working in the new stuff without throwing away anything.  Glad it's done.  Bob wanted to know if he should bring in the Christmas tubs,  I said "no way!"  Enough for today.

During lunch, Bob told me that the farmers are cutting the corn in the back field.  Yeah!  Now we will be able to see the deer better as now they run into the rows and disappear.  Oh, I was so afraid that they wouldn't cut the corn  until March like another year.

We received an invite to the Oatka Milk Products Christmas Party today.  It's on Dec. 7th and our camper party is on the 14th.  Several years they have been the same date.  It's hard to think Christmas already, our family needs to do the name exchange thing.

Well, tomorrow we have plans to go to the Hamburg Craft Show-Christmas In The Country.  I have to get ready for that...

FRIDAY:

SISTER TOOTSIE AND I
We left home about 11:30 am. for the craft show.    We met my sister, Toots,  inside the entrance building, as she already had purchased her ticket.  Things have changed at this show since we were crafters there.  Right away the shopping bags that used to be handed out to customers free, were now being sold by church groups for a dollar.  They still had the Premier Promotions info
SEWING AND FLOWER ARRANGEMENTS
MIXED MEDIA  "NO, NO"

printed on the bags.

Instead of three buildings, they now have four buildings of crafters.  Each building had good crowds attending.  But we noticed so many booths with "purchased" products which was always a "no-no!"   They had Cuckoo clocks in many different sizes, they had to be from Old Country, their whole back wall...not one or two.   There was manger scenes that had molded figurines, many different sizes.  The topper was a booth with a hand towel, dish cloth and pot holder, that looked right out of Wal-Mart or Kmart.  We always had to be judged with photos before being accepted and everything had to be home made.  Things change.  It's a put down to the people who work so hard and have a beautiful booth full of work.

We walked and walked about two hours.  My back, knees and feet were hurting so bad, I suggested we get something to eat so we could sit a little.  Toots never complained once.  After lunch we sailed threw the other buildings.  Toots and I decided, we are too old for storing any more nick knacks.  We did buy a neck scarf each.

I did see a couple of ideas that I can make with what I have on hand.
A small Ugly Tree was frosted with snow, had red berries and cardinals all about, priced at $75.00.  I have the trees and red berries that I put on now, so buy a can of snow and walla-a change of scene.

There was many booths with huge baskets or boxes of beautiful arrangements, probably to decorate a fireplace.  There were animals figurines in some, so I got an idea of how to use my three reindeer.  I only have 6 big bags of baskets on hand-unreal.

About four o'clock we departed and headed for home.  I couldn't wait to hit the couch!
SATURDAY:
With my first cup of coffee, I looked out to check the corn field to see if the farmers finished cutting the field while we were gone yesterday.  Yes!  Now to look for deer.

Recoup day!  Try to find an excuse not to do what needs doing.
But that's just not me.  Since Bob is keeping the upstairs so cold, (with his fancy thermostat) I decided to put the electric blanket on the bed.  Changing the sheets, I saw that I had torn a hole in them down by my feet.  I can't remember how old they are, my pretty snowflake ones, kaput.

Well, I needed help.  Bob to the rescue.  Our first attempt at hooking it up wasn't correct as every time we turned the bed lamps on or off, so went the control of blanket.  Okay Bob, you and your fancy wiring.  We had to struggle with that big king size mattress to get to the wall plug behind the headboard.  Then move the headboard.  We struggled and groaned but it's done.  Now the irony of it all, I'll probably be to hot and will want to take it back off next week.

I blogged some, paid three bills, entered the cash receipts  and we reconciled some accounts.  Nothing to strenuous!

While eating supper, there was seven deer in the back field.  So nice to see them run and play.

An old movie was on called Mrs. Merkle which the kids interpreted as Mrs. Miracle, we watched that as it was cute.

SUNDAY:
A wet, cold, nasty, windy, dark angry day.  We cancelled all our going out plans for an afternoon movie.  Truthfully, I didn't sleep well last night so I was a late riser, which screws everything up.  Then I fell asleep during the Bills'-Steelers' game this afternoon.  Darn!

Oh, know how I'm always reading, well, I just want to put in a plug before I close.  My daughter-in-law, Donna, let us know recently that her brother, Danny  and his wife, Cathleen have written a children's E-book.  It's available on Amazon.com.  If your scrolling threw there, they need reviews.
Bubbles & Me, Learning our A,B,C's can be found on Amazon.com along with our author biographies.

I want to wish them lots of sales and the wonderful feeling of success!  So proud of them.

An unproductive day.

Thanks for clicking in, have a good week.

OUR PROJECT IS FINISHED!

MONDAY:
Off we go to another week.  Have your coffee and report to work...little late...but I'm willing.  Bob just laughs!  He has the woodwork all washed down and he was cleaning the windows.  The blinds are back up and he is putting all the electric cover plates back on.  He wants the paint to cure good before we haul the stuff in that goes on the shelving.  But now one gets anxious to get back to normal, hope I can wait.

Even thou it appears I'm late for work; I have the stuff out to make Lasagna for supper.  Last night was easy peasy with a crock pot-pot roast.  All in one.   I have the wash sorted and washing.  But I'm realizing a little dizziness-what to heck-are my glasses crooked?  Some times that happens when the screws get loose.

I finished the Nicholas Sparks book last night, The Longest Ride, now to return it to library.  It was a different read, two love stories in one that goes back and forth to characters, that is combined with a super surprising ending.  I have read 10 of his books so far, but he has a lot more.  I need to go back to e-book reading so I don't have to go out as it gets colder.
TUESDAY:
There's a hard frost this morning, the shed roof is white.

Bob had a doctor's appointment in Lockport so our day was spent driving.  After the visit, we made about 9 other errand runs.  Returned home a bit worn out and flopped on the couch.

WEDNESDAY:
Bob is off fishing.
HE IS REALLY GETTING THE HANG OF IT
HE CAUGHT THREE TODAY.

I have folded clothes and I'm washing some blankets.  I finally found my recipe for Lasagna that I had hunted for Monday.  It's a newspaper clipping from years ago, very brown and brittle, but it gives the layering directions along with the sauce components.  It could be Alzheimer's creeping in as I couldn't remember the sequence of layering.  When I couldn't find the recipe, I just put it together helter skelter.  It wasn't on the box of noodles either.  The family members didn't complain!  Betsy even took a serving to one of my favorite guys at her work.

Now I have made a copy of it to preserve it on non acid paper.    Now to find the plastic bags that I put recipes in; the box is somewhere amongst the stuff out of craft room.

I spent the afternoon outside; cutting back of flowers since we had the hard frost on Monday night, and they are all brown.  It was nice and warm until about 4:30pm.

We had warm ups for supper then I helped Betsy decorated some donuts for her treat to take to work.

We watched the TV game shows for an hour then shut it off.  Time to go read for the evening.

THURSDAY:

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!  Enjoy the little goblins.

2003 SARAH & CINDER

Today we started carrying stuff back into the craft room.  Slowly, we put up the closet folding doors and then the main door.  The folding doors were tricky to get back up.  Then we cut shelf paper so our storage wouldn't stick to the paint.  It should be dry by now but one never knows.  Then we carried in the boxes, no where near done.

A couple hours later, my back and old knee were squawking so I laid down and fell asleep.  Bob is calling me the "Night Walker" as I've been up several nights unable to sleep.

Betsy picked up pizza and wings for dinner so we would be ready for the trick or treaters.  We only had 13 come by, kinda disappointing.  Guess they have school or church functions for them now.  We have a nice big dish of candy left.

Betsy did my nails, we removed all the Halloween polish.  We watched a couple early TV shows and soon it was time for bed.

FRIDAY:
The high winds have reached us.  It is horrible outside.  2000 homes without electric in Buffalo again.

We were going to Brockport this morning but changed our minds due to the wind.  It was still whipping around.  There are piles of corn stalks all around the house from the field out back.

Instead we went down to the plaza and bought more shelf paper and zipped thru Aldi's for veggie's and returned home.  We cut shelf paper for the closet all afternoon.

Each time we come down the stairs, we carry some of the storage down.

MORE TO ADD

SATURDAY:
We were all in the car by nine o'clock, heading for Brockport to look at kitchen counters.  The A-Team wants me to change the design in the craft room for more comfortable  scrap booking access.  We picked out a counter and headed home as it was sticking out of the Escape window-pretty far.

LOADED UP FOR THE TRIP HOME.
I TOLD BOB TO WATCH WHEN HE TURNED SO HE DIDN'T SWIPE SOMEONE IN THE OTHER LANE.

Once home Betsy and I went to Batavia shopping for another cupboard unit to hold the counter up.  I have three but one more is needed.  After going thru Wal-Mart, we found one in K-Mart.  Lots of tramping around.  We drove thru Arby's and bought sandwiches for lunch.

Betsy and I took a nap!  Bob putzed around in the garage.  After supper, I started bringing more stuff downstairs for the closet shelves.  Day after day of this; but it's our entertainment for a couple weeks.  It isn't very good Blogging material.

It's almost ten o'clock, time to call it a day.

SUNDAY:

More of the same, Bob and Betsy started working on the fittings for the counter first thing.  They cut it to size, covered the ends, and moved it in.  It took a long time.

THE A TEAM'S IDEA.
I KNEW IT WOULD COST ME MONEY!

READY TO IRON THE ENDS ON.

While they worked, I made another Apple Pie.  They deserve a treat.  I carried more stuff downstairs.

LOOKS GOOD

THE FINISHED PROJECT!
WRAP AROUND COUNTER.

Everything stopped for the Bill's game.  All needed a rest!
The room looks beautiful and will be a great space to work in.  I can take my time sorting thru stuff this coming week.

Here's a cute picture that fell out of a box...

GUESS WHO!
YEARS AGO!
MISSISSIPPI HOT DOG!
The time change will take some getting used to, we ate supper and it was dark out.  Couldn't even see the field to watch for deer.   The Steeler's game was on by then, they lost--badly!  55 points, most earned in history of team.  I hate when the games are on during dinner hour.

Okay, nuf for this week.  Guess I'll post.  Have a good week and thanks for checking in.
