HAY READERS, I'M TIRED!
It's noon and I just dressed and sorted the washing. I have loads of dirty dress up clothes from Eric's graduation weekend. Being SLOW MOVING, I almost started my first load of wash with Simple Green, Bob's grill cleaning soap. That's a case of READ MUCH!
Then my computer acts up. I have moved over to Bob's machine. Bob is with his friends fishing and I have my Dell stuck, I have no idea how to fix it. Just a user! I'm sure what ever I push on the screen of the Dell will amount to more trouble. Maybe flames and fire will come out of it or maybe I should set a fire in it! That reminds me of the old house we owned in Ohio, the ceiling was cracking and nasty looking, so I poked it with a broom handle...look the ceiling fell!
One of the new pair of shoes that I purchased at Waterloo Outlets was moccasins, I put them on to break them in. Hope they don't hurt my foot. The weirdest thing, a bump or growth is forming on my right foot...Doc Margo told me it goes along with the Psoriasis...a type of arthritic formation. I'm going thru shoes for comfort all day long, mostly slippers.
Bob came home from fishing about 2:30 pm, he asked if I was ready to go? What? Where are we going? His answer, "To the light center for a treatment." They are only open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. So change of clothes and off we went. A 40 minute excursion there and 40 back. The red spots are turning brown and there is less itching. But I'll bet I'm left with the ugly spots. Hoya, Hoya. Oh, Bob said that he caught a sucker.
THIS SQUIRREL WAS FISHING TOO! |
We came in the house in time to make supper. After I watched the news and game shows, then went in my craft room to make a birthday card. I struggled with my design choice but I stuck to it and it's in the mail.
TUESDAY:
WHAT TO DO FIRST? LOTS ON THE PLATE! I couldn't get to sleep last night, so I got up and had a bowl of Kellogg's Mini Wheat's at 3 am. This morning, I'm tackling the important things: wedding attire, bird feeding, and I striped the bed and changed the sheets. Phew! Wonder how long I'll hold up.
I have the dress shirt ironed for Bob. I have given instructions, do not wear until the wedding!!!!! (great niece's wedding in Oxford, Ohio) I'm not washing and ironing it again, and it's always his first choice-no matter if there are 10 shirts in the closet.
Hay, what is a Birding Center? I read a blog called #Where's Weaver and those folks are going to put in a Birding Center. Hope they explain it. I googled "what is a bird center" and it brought up all the famous locations that are centers. No instructions, guess I'm not a good Googler. Oh, googly, googly.
WORKING ON MY BIRDING CENTER WATER AND FOOD, RIGHT? |
I planted some plants in my four pool containers. Hope we don't have a cold night with frost while we are gone.
WEDNESDAY:
This morning Bob went outside and worked on power washing the stamped cement around the pool as a green moss has grown on it. He wants to reseal it all. I started making chocolate chip cookies to take with us. Bob likes a cookie to wash down his pills at night.
After a quick trip to Rochester, Bob left me off at home, and he went on to the Honda dealers to have the car serviced. A computer glitch turned the tire pressure light on continuously.

While he was gone, I packed clothes and gathered up snacks for while we are driving and for our room at night.
Seems like I did more than that but guess not.
THURSDAY:
We were up early and packed the car and left by 8:10, on our way to Oxford, Ohio. The thruway was so busy, you can tell it's nice weather. I called my niece, Linda and made plans to have lunch together in Ashtabula. It was my sister's birthday so it was nice to wish her a good day. My niece Tina came with them. We had a fun visit.

ME AND SISTER, TOOTSIE HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIS! |
Bob and I drove on, we made it to Mansfield before stopping for the night. We stayed in a Best Western motel. Lots of construction employees staying here too, they are outside talking. We have about four driving hours tomorrow. We ate at a Steak and Shake place as Bob wanted a milkshake. Cross that place off our list; hamburger and fries were lousy.
FRIDAY:
We had breakfast at the motel. Driving thru Columbus was challenging; several close calls with people changing lanes. We stopped at a Popeye's for lunch and waited and waited for our order. Now we aren't that far south! It was okay but we decided that's why they are advertising so much-for customers. Cross that place off the list too.
Arriving at Miami University, we checked into the hotel. Then we went room hopping. My sister had a suite with two rooms for her, her two daughters and two grandson's. They had a refrigerator!
My sister went to rehearsal and we all went to Dakota's steak house.
I had read about a RESTORED covered bridge in the tour book so we all drove to see it. The boys had a grand time climbing under the bridge. I sure as heck wasn't going down that mud path with one stainless steel knee and one bum knee.
David, Donna, Debbie and Rocco arrived later that evening.
SATURDAY:
Breakfast was provided downstairs at the hotel. We all gathered and visited. There was shuttles to take guests to the church, we were ready to go on the first one, only to get on and find out it was for the groom's men. So off again and wait for the next one.
The priest sang most of the mass, something we haven't heard in a long, long time. I enjoyed that.
Stephie's attendants were in black dresses and the design seemed to fit all shapes very nicely. Stephie's gown was delicately trimmed in bling on the top and the waist belt. The skirt was puffy! She wore pinkish red heels and carried a red bouquet. All very pretty.
My family spent the afternoon at a restaurant uptown, where we got something to eat. Then we went to Star Bucks for our 4:00 coffee. The town had several college hangouts. I didn't get to the stores to shop. Darn!
Once again, the evening went to, to fast. Bob and I had steak for our dinner choice. The tables were decorated with flowers and candles. The table runner was black sequins.
The couple had requested an "unplugged" church ceremony. At the reception we made up for that, the highlight of the evening was taking pictures on our cell phones and doing a hash tag (#mazzmerge) using Twitter and our photos showed up on a large screen. We had so much fun with that; we ran our phones down. I think the bride and groom can make an album with all the photos. I'm not capable of explaining how it's done; leave it to the young kids who are whipper smart!
To keep the guests entertained, "rocking sunglasses" were passed out.
Oh, they did have an elimination dance to sort out the oldest couple attending. (well, the ones who could still dance) Bob and I and the groom's grandparents were left on the floor, each with 58 years.
SUNDAY:
Breakfast, visit, and depart.
Drive, drive, drive. David and Donna gave us an escort and looked after us. Debbie and Rocco went a different route and they were ahead of us by 40 miles.
We arrived home about 8:30pm. Happy, happy to get out of the car. Then the unloading!
MONDAY:
I sorted the dry cleaning, did the hand and machine washing, cooked and took a 3 hour nappie!
That's coverage! Thanks for clicking in. Hope you have a good week.
