ANNALYNN MADE THE T-SHIRTS!

Our week went very fast!  Cassie was still here until Friday, Bob had a Dr's appointment and the Doc was a no show, so he rescheduled and we helped our camping secretary with his first newsletter.   We packed the motor home for our trip to Univ. of Buffalo for the RIDE FOR ROSWELL and we left on Thursday.  After set up, we went to the gym to register.

LARRY'S FIRST RIDE FOR ROSWELL

There is so much more to the story.  But everyone had a great time.  The weather was perfect!   I would hope that Roswell made a couple million in donations so research can continue in our neighborhood.

David shot 1600 photos; Bob shot around 500.  So many to choose from for Blogging.   There had to be about 15-25 photographers so Roswell will have plenty of photos to pick from for their advertising.

That's it for this week.  I'm bushed!  I have two sore knees from walking so much.  I took my bike to ride to and from events (not in events) and the new knee wouldn't go around with the peddles - shots of pain!  I was bummed as I had the bike all polished up and pretty.

Hope you have a good week.

A HOT WEEK!

MONDAY:
I did a couple loads of wash and paid 2 bills.  As today I had planned on working on the wedding photos. It's not that I haven't worked on them before, many hours. But when you have 590 some photos to go thru, it's a biggie job. I selected 73 photos and put them in an album on line. Then I put them in sequence order. Then I put titles on all of them.
Then I asked Bob to send them to Drop box so I could put them on Face book. As soon as he put them in Drop box, they all scrambled-the last picture was first etc. and most of the titles were gone! I was giving up!

I started supper.  Betsy's friend, Cassie, was coming for a stay as she had some surgery planned and Betsy was taking her.  Annalynn stopped to introduce us to "Otto."

BETSY'S GIVES HIM A HUG!

After supper,  Bob sat and put the photos  back into sequence. Saved them to Drop box again. We tried to download them to FB. The titles were gone again. We put the titles back in. Then we proceeded to load them to FB. They wouldn't load. Maybe too many. Frustrated after working all day with it, I said I'm going to bed. I told Bob if he knew what was good for him, he would go to bed too. If I worked that hard on cleaning my house; I'd be asking everyone to take their shoes off at the door!
TUESDAY:
I baked cookies in the morning as it was cooler outside.  As long as I had the oven going, I asked Bob to pick up another quart of local berries (before there all gone) and I baked another pie shell for pie.   Bob was going to the Chiropractor again, this time for his hip!  But that didn't stop him from using the power washer on the cement on the front porch and around the pool.

POWER WASHING THE POOL DECK.

Bob had worked on the photos again.  Low and behold, he loaded them on Face book!  They went on my Profile page but who cares, as long as people can see them.

Betsy and Cassie left for the hospital at 5:00 am.  They came home about 12:00 pm.  It's amazing how they can do surgery and discharge a person on the same day.

WEDNESDAY:
As soon as I got up,  I checked on Cassie.  She was ready for coffee.  So I made a cup for both of us.  I changed her ice bag and then we visited.   We made a list of her meds to record the times taken etc.  Really didn't try to do much today, wondering if I should do something to make her comfortable.  I hated to hawk on her and later I found out that she is very independent.  So I just fixed meals and  read a book that she brought for me.
THURSDAY:
I spent the morning cleaning the upstairs.  I was pooped after.  So I read a book after lunch.   Made supper and watered the plants.
FRIDAY:
The deer was out this morning.  No sign of the fawn.   Bob went over town to pick up some pool supplies.  The kids had planned our Father's Day get together for this evening and I was asked to make Bob's favorite Pineapple Upside Down cake.  So I baked.  I also made chocolate cupcakes with cherry pie filling inside them.
In the afternoon, I went out in the sun.  I cleaned the pool steps and around the edging.  Bob pulled a lounge chair under the gazebo and he took his nap there.  I read a book.

DAVID WITH HIS GIFTS

We had a great evening.  I packed up deserts for the boys to take back to their apartment.

SATURDAY:
Bob left home around 7am to drive to Buffalo for a fishing class at 8am.  David met him there.  David had arranged the cookout on Friday so Bob would have all his gift cards to spend at the class.   They had a great time shopping after class.  Bob had a stash saved up from his birthday too.  He came home with a new pole, reel and miscellaneous items. (Finally, he's been shopping and looking since April.)

LOOK AT THE LENGTH OF THAT POLE.

Stringham Drive garage sale was today.  We didn't participate this year.  It didn't seem as busy this time; cars were not double parked and we didn't hear of any police visits like last year.  Double parked cars and neither driver approaching would back up; they got out of their cars and started a fight.
Cassie and I sat by the pool and picked up a few rays of sunshine.  It was just beautiful out.  We were both reading books.  The water temp was 84 degrees, so I went in for the first time this year.  Sure enjoyed that!

At lunch, Betsy spotted the deer with the fawn running towards the wheat field.  It was so cute!  All we could see of it was his hinny as he jumped to keep up to the mother.   She was headed for the woods, so that's probably the last we will see of them.

SUNDAY:

After breakfast was done, Bob and I drove over to the sand wash area so he could practice with his new pole.  I was surprised by all the improvements that have been done since my last visit there.  They now have a huge pavilion, three docks and parking area down by the water.  Bob had a good time until more people started to arrive.  (Father's Day)  Families with their children, which they didn't watch.  A little girl was running around with no shoes and I kept thinking she is going to step on a hook.  Then she found a large pile of big rocks in the weeds to climb on; I wondered how many snakes were in there.  Her Mother calls her, "Bella."  What did I catch a fish?
It was very hot by 1:00, so we came home.  Betsy fixed a a beef on kimmel weck lunch for her Dad, and the rest of us.  Bob decided to take a nap and I headed for the pool.  About 4:00pm, I was about to go in and shower when Bob was getting up.  He wanted to swim so I went back out with him.  Such nice weather for using the pool and we waited so long for it.

Well, it's been a good week for us.  Hope your all enjoying the weather.
Thanks for clicking in.

EARLY TO BED, EARLY TO RISE! NAPPIES ALL WEEK.

MONDAY & TUESDAY:
We enjoyed the company of Bob's sister Jane and her hubby Allan.   They live in Florida but spend the summers up North living on their sailboat.

Al's Sailboat
In between visiting, Bob and Jane went thur some of Mom Rindo's old medical records and decided which could be trashed.   Last fall, we had  put slides aside for Jane to look thur.   We also went thur many other recent photos on computer which takes hours.   We also enjoyed their photos of their recent visit to China.
Bob and Al went to the casino for an hour or so.  When they returned, Bob was all excited as he had won $70.00.  The truth is he recovered his first 40.00 and won $30.00.  Sorry to break your bubble Bob!    We had a great visit.

WEDNESDAY:
Jane and Al left about 10:30 am.  Bob and I picked up the miscellaneous stuff that we had out to use.  After lunch we both took a long nap.  I now have the dreaded virus and nothing seems to help.  Cough, cough!
Napping the whole afternoon, we had a late supper of leftovers.  Bob went out to mow the lawn before the rain; a thunder and lightening storm was predicted.
I went back to bed about 8:00pm.
THURSDAY:
By the time I woke up, Bob was out cleaning the pool with a jacket on.  It was cool.  Maybe an Eskimo would jump in!
I proceeded to look at the hamper; there's nothing funny about a hamper that's over flowing.  What a mess of clothes I had to sort.  Many items were hand wash from all the dress up events of the past weekend; rehearsal & dinner Thursday, a funeral in PA on Friday, the wedding Saturday and breakfast at Debbie's and Rocco's on Sunday.  Miska!
In between the washing, I read a couple Blogs.  I found a mystery book to read that an RV'er has written.  The lady character goes to garage sales and buys a carpet; it has a dead body rolled up in it!  The title is "On The Road to Death's Door."   It's available on Amazon.Com.
I was using the computer to long; at 3:00pm I gave in an went for another nap.  Bob was just getting up from his nap.   Bright eyed and bushy tailed; he was going to the store as he wanted Strawberry Pie.  I told him that I didn't feel good enough to bake.  At 5:00 pm the 2 quarts of local strawberries were sitting on the kitchen table.  He had bought frozen pie shells, meat for supper, bread & milk.  Arriving home from work, Betsy says "Oh how cute, we are making Strawberry pies together!"

Bob pierced the crust with a fork; about 200 times!

The Finished Pie.

FRIDAY:
Guess I've had enough sleep.  I'm up at 7:30am.  Coffee in hand, I head for the porch to look for deer.  We have had one deer come up the furrow and just stand around-looking.  Yesterday while sitting out there, it came again.  We watched for a while and low and behold, a baby fawn was jumping around beside her.  The grass and weeds is as tall as the baby.  She must be nesting near the clump of thick sumac bushes.
I worked on folding clothes and ironing trying to get caught up.  Nothing to exciting.  Late in the afternoon, we went downtown to drop off the gowns for dry cleaning, go to bank, and BJ's.  On the way home Bob picked up hot roast beef sandwiches for our supper.  Yeah, I don't have to cook.

I have so many wedding photos that I'm looking for a different way to share them.  I have photos from Bob, David, Jane, and the Gkids. What to do?   When I feel better, I'll work with them.

We heard on the news that the owner of the horse "I'll Have Another" has scratched him from the race on Saturday due to a leg infection.  All America was disappointed.  I'm still looking forward to watching the race.
SATURDAY:
All hands on deck!  We had work every where.  Bob and Betsy started the outside work by going on the roof to repair the solar pool heater.  It is in bad shape.  Betsy said, instead of pin holes, there is now slits in the tubing.  She removed one real bad panel.

BOB SUPERVISING!

SO CLOSE TO THE EDGE!

The bushes out front of the house needed trimming so we started that next.  I want the shrubs to look like they are on a terrace...ones at back higher.   I had to watch my helpers because they were gun ho with the trimmers.  A couple boxwood shrubs were frozen and dead so Betsy yanked them out.

THIS RED BUSH WAS WAY TO BIG!  BETSY WACKING AWAY!

NICE AND NEAT AGAIN!

I pulled weeds, made lunch and supper.  It was a hard day for all.  Now to relax.

SUNDAY:
I had a lousy night, almost every hour on the hour, coughing!  When I did wake up it was 10:30 am.  I looked out the bedroom window and Bob and Betsy had put the canopy on the gazebo already.  I took my coffee out.  Then they carried the wicker set out and put up the cushions.  It looks inviting.

They went back up on the roof to finish the solar heater repairs.  It was too hot already. So we lunched, Bob napped, Betsy sunbathed, and I went for a few groceries.  I had one coughing jag at the store and one lady looked at me as if to say, "why didn't you stay home?"  Sorry lady.  I hope to feel better soon.

Of course, that made me grouchy, so I complained about not enough cashiers open.  (5 out of 22) I just wanted to get out of there before I coughed again.  It didn't do any good,

So hopefully next week will be better for me.  Thanks for clicking in.  Have a good week.
