HANGING OUT AROUND HOME.

MONDAY:
Well, Monday is never to exciting here.  Same old, same old.  Do the wash, pay bills etc.  In addition, we were still unpacking the motor home and cleaning it up for the next trip out.   I'm sore all over from the weekend activities-in and out of the motor home.  I guess.

THE MYSTERIOUS SUNFLOWER
TUESDAY:
I must have made sixty trips outside to get a good picture of this sunflower plant.  The sun was making a shadow every time.  Anyway, I have a Believe It or Not story.
I love Marigolds.  I had heard if you plant them around your pool it will keep the mosquitoes away.  So every year I planted Marigolds along the pool filter area.  Then this one summer, something started to snip them off at the stem and left them to die.  So I replanted them.  Didn't it happen again.
So the next spring I planted Impatiens and hoped the criter wouldn't chomp on them.  It didn't happen again, so now I plant Impatiens.  But this year, right in the middle of the row, one was pulled out and gone.  As the weeks passed, I noticed  plants coming up right where the Impatient plant had been; gee that looks like a sunflower.  So I left it to grow.  We have several chipmunks around and I have seen them in the bird feeder.  I believe that a chipmunk brought seeds from the bird feeder and planted them there for his winter food.  Can you Believe it?
Bob was busy trimming the shrubs near the pool.  They are mean, pickery, things.  Their needles go right thru a pair of gloves.   They only get trimmed once a year because of the needles.

WE ALL HATE TRIMMING THESE SHRUBS.
WEDNESDAY:
A big day as far as eating goes.  I had made arrangements to meet three of my old camping girl friends at Tulley's for lunch.  We met at 12:30 and had the fabulous Chicken Tenders.  Then the waitress talked us into dessert as they have big servings.  She would bring us four spoons.  This large square of cake and layers of ice cream, drizzled with chocolate and cool whip, and two dollop's of whipped cream on each side of the plate with hot fudge sauce underneath was delivered to our table.  We all laughed when we saw it.  Huge, Hugega!   We couldn't finish it.   We sat there for 4 hours; chit chatting about our kids and grand kids.  I could hardly stand up when we finally decided to leave.

I got home about 4:45 and had to refresh and get ready to go to Lancaster for calling hours.  We stopped at McDonald's to eat before attending the wake.  More food.
OLD WORLD PATTERN
I was exhausted when we returned home so I went up to bed about 9:30.  I turned the TV on to watch QVC while I read my book.   Yesterday while watching they had a beautiful set of Temptations  baking ware on today's Hot Pick.  I talked myself out of it because I don't have the storage space.  I gave Sarah several of my Corning dishes to make room for my first set of Temptations bowls that Betsy gave me for Christmas.  These clean so easy.  (Microwave, freezer, oven and dishwasher safe) They come in different designs and colors.   I always have wanted a pretty pie dish, which was included in the set. Wouldn't you know it, they didn't sell out yesterday and repeated the Hot Pick.   I have always admired the pie dish from Mackenzie Child's which is $65.00.  Ya I typed that right.  Unreal!  Bob came up to bed.  He encouraged me to order it if I wanted it.  I couldn't resist so I ordered it.  Hope I make enough pies to enjoy it.    How about that, a person can spend money without even getting out of bed.
THURSDAY:
I did a smidgen of house cleaning today.  Just the upstairs!  It's too much to do both floors in one day.  I also washed some bedding.  By lunch time I was pooped.  My friend gave me some tomatoes yesterday while at lunch; so I wanted Bacon, Lettuce and Tomatoes sandwiches.  I cooked a whole pound of bacon and Bob and I had two sandwiches each!  They were delicious!  Home grown tomatoes, yum.
After lunch, I made a trip to Aldi's for a few groceries to fix for supper.

Then we went swimming, wondering if it would be the last time.  I hate to think that.  I came in to make supper at 5:00 o'clock.  Later I spent some time on computer and worked with photos.

Now it's time for bed again.  I'm not turning on the TV.
FRIDAY:
I spent the morning looking up addresses for Hospice of Buffalo and St Jude Hospital to do a Memorial Gift.  Both address were in Texas; I didn't want our gift going there.  So I sent it to Roswell instead.
Then I printed a recipe for fresh broccoli salad.  One of the camper ladies had made some at our camp out and it was so  good.  I had to make that up.
Bob wanted to drill the holes in the 6 wine bottles that Debbie had sent to us. (the ones they decorate and sell for Leukemia)  So I stood by and sprayed the anti-freeze/soap concoction while Bob ran the drill.
I spent the afternoon outside by the pool again.
SATURDAY:
In the middle of the night when I'm prowling around; I can't find anything good to eat!  Sometimes I think that I would sleep better if I wasn't craving something.  So I got my coffee and thought about what to bake.  I'd turn the air conditioner up to compensate for the heat in the house.  I have sour cream to use up so I made a Yum Yum Coffee Cake.  Oh Nuts!  I don't have enough nuts.  So I improvised and used a bag of Butter Brickle candies that's for a cookie recipe that I have.  The cake turned out real good.

I got ready to go shopping @ Tops.  I had my list all printed.  I hadn't found any coupons on the e-coupon web site.  (No food that we use)  but I did have all the sale items printed.  Okay, at the store I approach the Mandarin Oranges.  The sign says, 4/$5.00.  No, No.  I have it printed, 10/$10.00-Tops brand.  So I approached the cash register and asked the supervisor standing near there.  "Oh, it must come off when you present your card at the register."  Okay, so we load up on the 10/$10.. Mandarin Oranges.    (groceries for my college kids who love them)  I finished shopping and went to check out.  My teller is a talker, she is from Pittsburgh and loves the Steelers!  So do I.  She chats on.  I spied the charge for the oranges, .14 cents off.  NO, No.  I have it right here, printed!    She fusses, she has to find it in the printed newspaper.  (5 minutes) She calls for help.  Someone else came, fusses, looks in the newspaper, (10 minutes) went away to a different room.  She returns gives instructions to my teller to take off $2.50.  I apologized to those behind me in line.  It's too bad you have to fight for every penny!  I assume somebody goofed setting up the registers to agree with the on line sales.  Or maybe they have items changed for the next week already.  Use with caution, I guess.

Back at home, I had lunch by myself.  Bob and Betsy had given up on my return.  I cleaned up the kitchen and went out to the pool to cool off.  The water temp was perfect to walk right in. (bet the fuel bill will be perfect too)  I read thru the new grocery ads.  I read my book.  Wonderful afternoon.

The preseason game (Bills/Steelers) started at 7:00pm.  We were done with supper and turned the TV on.  Near the end of the game our daughter in law called, "Are you home?"  They stopped on their way home from visiting grandson, Alex in Rochester.  We had coffee and I was glad I had the coffee cake to offer.  David's told us about his hot chili canning event.

DAVID COOKING HIS HOT CHILI SAUCE!  VERY PROUD OF YOU SON!

LOOKS GOOD.  THEY USE IT LIKE SALSA.

SUNDAY:
When I finally woke up, Betsy had already gone to Mass and shopping afterward.  It's hard to get going when you sleep late.
Even thou it's Sunday, many miscellaneous tasks were done today, in between swimming.  I feel good as I cut back the measly looking tomato plants.  The little cherry tomatoes were dropping off all over the patio.  Enough of that stuff.  Bob cleaned the grill as I wanted to put a whole chicken on the spit.  Well, it sprinkled-twice so I put it in the oven instead.

We just finished the  roasted chicken dinner with gravy and all the veggie trimmings.  Now everybody is in the "too full" mode.  I have no idea what else we will do today but I hope it includes being a "couch potato."

Our week just flew by.  No big projects but we were busy all the time.  Next week will probably have some of the hurricane features coming our way.  I hope everyone is safe.

I'll post this now so I can go stretch out for the evening.  Have a good one everyone, thanks for clicking in.

MONDAY:
I worked in some computer stuff while doing the washing.  I read some Blogs.  Nothing to exciting.

TUESDAY:
I got up with swollen eyes. plus the itching!  Aut Oh!  I called the dermatologist.  She would call me back.

Busy, Busy!  We went to two stores today to pick up more groceries for our weekend camp out.  We had another member call today to say they were coming, so we are up to 6 units or 12 people.   It should be a good time.

After lunch we drove to Lockport as Bob had a doctors appointment and I had a hair cut scheduled.  I visited with the newly weds while Bob was at the doctors.   We had coffee and I saw the honeymoon album that Christianna had made on computer.  I also looked at the photo album from the photographers who made an album of all photos from the photo booth.  That was comical with guests all trying to get in one picture or all dressed in the disguised garb provided.

The dermatologist called while I was visiting.  Stop the medicine, (DOXYCYCLINE HYCLATE-THAT WILL GO ON MY ALLERGY LIST)  get Beneadryl!  Call me Monday.

Betsy had supper all  ready for us.  After I made up another batch of Sloppy Joe's, I want to be sure to have enough.

I'm working on computer a bit then calling it a day, going to read.
WEDNESDAY:
It was beautiful today but a cool morning.  Our pool temp has dropped with all the rain.  To busy to swim anyways, as I have another doctor's appointment and a Retirement picnic.

I went to the Orthopaedics doctor for the last check up.  I told him most of the numbness has gone away.  I told him about my attempt to ride the bike at Ride For Roswell.  He told me to get back on and try it again, but put the seat up high.  All things checked out: he was pleased and said that I made him look good and he gave me a high five!   If I have trouble during the winter with the other knee all I have to do is call him.
From the doctors office I drove to the picnic.  By then it was nice and warm and the pavilion was comfortable.  We had about 26 Dept. of Social Services retirees.  It was nice to see everyone.  We had time to visit and then our meal.  After the girls in charge had all our names in a hat.  They drew the first name and that person had to stand and speak on their happenings.  Then that person drew the next name, etc. etc.  Many retirees are babysitting grandchildren or elderly parents.

I made the Western style stuffed peppers for supper.  Now I can concentrate on our camp out.  It's load up time.

THURSDAY:
Just concentrated on packing for the camp out.
FRIDAY:
We said good by to Cinder and made sure her water dishes were full.  Then we left home about 10:30am.  We drove up to the college parking lot to hook up the car.  Hit the thruway and we were off.
Another couple was all  set up at camp when we arrived.  They only had a 20 minute drive.  Shortly after we started set up, two more coaches pulled in.

THE ELECTRIC BOX WAS FULL OF BEES.
BOB B., JOHN G., BOB J.
JOHN WAS STUNG TWO TIMES.

WE ALL SAT AROUND AND VISITED UP TO AND DURING COCKTAIL HOUR.

Two couples came for the day that no longer have an RV, we enjoyed seeing them.
I had made reservations for Fish Fry at a hotel up town so we all drove there for 6:00pm.   The service was horrible; one table was served and the other table of members sat and waited for a long time.  (I'd say 20 minutes or more)

Back at camp, members played cards in the Fireman's hall.  The coffee pots were set up for breakfast.  Some members viewed slides of  Bob J.'s trip out to Yellowstone and abouts.
For some unknown reason, I slept really good.  I was surprised as the Shrimp In the Basket was bothering me before bed time.  The temp dipped down during the night and Bob had the furnace going when I got up.  Fall is creeping in.

SATURDAY:
Up at 6:00am, shower and dress, head for the kitchen in the hall.

SAY WIENER!
We had sausage and pancakes to make.  I had brought the electric skillet and crock pots so I started the sausage.

HOPE THEY ARE HUNGRY.

Bob wanted to cook the pancakes on the kitchen's big grill so he proceeded to light that up.  He had a little trouble and when I looked over;  he had the whole thing tore apart.  I expected to hear; click, click, boom!

CLICK, CLICK, BOOM!
The ladies and I started the pancakes on my electric grill.  Soon Bob had the grill going and he cooked too.  Breakfast went off without a hitch!

That afternoon many members went up town to go thru the huge Five and Ten Cent type of store called Vidler's.  We also checked out a couple cupcake places.  Some gals went to garage sales.

CUPCAKE SHOP

WE JUST BOUGHT TWO!  NONE TO BRING HOME TO BETSY!  TOUGH LOVE!

THIS STORE WAS CALLED - HEAD OVER HEELS.  PHOTOS COULD BE TAKEN IN THE FIGURES OUTSIDE.  WE COULDN'T FIND A PARKING SPOT.

Later we just sat around (again) up to and during cocktail time.  The guys tried to fix a slide out on a coach that the owner had trouble putting out.  No luck.  Our National Director and his wife came without their motor home.  A couple weeks ago they left for the International Rally in Gillette, Wyoming and as they stopped at the first Pennsylvania rest area the windshield exploded.  (For the third time)  They had to return home and it still isn't repaired.
She made a new cheese dip that had to be baked.  We tried to light the oven in the kitchen without any luck so I offered to bake it in my convection oven.  (I didn't want click, click, boom) We had so many dips to try that we all over ate.

For dinner we had the Sloppy Joe's and dishes that the ladies had prepared.  Dessert included.  A short Business Meeting followed.

PRESIDENT BOB, PRESIDING OVER HIS FIRST HRRVC CHAPTER 12 BUSINESS MEETING.  HE DID A GOOD JOB BUT INSISTED ON THIS PHOTO!   BIG HEAD OR WHAT?

Some members played cards.  I went in to read and rest my legs and back.  Bob B. played the guitar and sang.

SUNDAY:
We had an easy Continental Breakfast.  Since it was so nice out, several decided to stay for lunch.
We really had a funny visit.  The guys told of the times when they had the first scratch on their motor homes and the buildings, trees, roofs, etc. that they had hit.  We were really laughing at their tales, even thou it wasn't funny at the time.  We heard everything from E-z Pass to tire pressure.  It was fun.
When our  resident Nurse returned from church she examined my feet and told me a few other medicines to try on the creepn' crude.

Lunch time: so out comes the Sloppy Joes again. Glad to get rid of them.  After it was break camp and head home.

RESIDENT DEER GRACED OUR CAMPING AREA

We had a wonderful time making memories.  Another week to face coming up.

Hope you all had a good one.  Thanks for riding along and clicking in.

E-COUPONS AND AUTUMN

MONDAY:
It's Monday again.    Cool day.

Our morning started off nice.  Annalynn called to say she would be stopping by on her way home from visiting Mark.  She had read the "Blog" and saw that Sarah was home.
She brought us up to date with all the happenings while we had been away.  She also has a job interview on Thursday.  The girls made plans to go shopping for a new suit for the interviewee.

I'm going back on line sometime to Tops grocery store site.  I'm probably the last person to sign up for their e-coupons on their site which go onto your card/key.  Supposedly, when you get to register the coupon value comes  right off when you present your card.  No more cutting and organizing.  A list will print for you too.  It also includes sale items on list.  I visited the site last week and they did have several pages of coupons; but so many of the items we don't use.  I need groceries so I'll try it out tomorrow and see if the coupons work that I put on the card with that visit to site.

TOPS AD

TUESDAY:
Up and at em.  I went to the Farmer's Market and picked up several veggies.

Then on to Tops' grocery store.  The e-coupons did work; at the bottom of receipt it's posted as MC SAVE  .50 or what ever.  There are expiration dates and since the printing of my first list, several items had expired.
I ended up saving fifty cents on two items.  Big Deal!  Just like cutting paper coupons, lots of work for what?

It's exasperating to cut  coupons and organize and carry all over the store only to find that the store doesn't carry that brand.  Tops are getting more and more items with their brand.

Betsy and Sarah went shopping again so I only had to make supper for the two of us.  Sarah has her computer and paper work all over the dinning room table as she takes her grad classes on computer.

During the day, I made two double batches of Sloppy Joe's for our camp out next weekend.  Bob and I volunteered to be chairmen and as such we are responsible for organizing the  meals.  The Sloppy Joe's are for Saturdays' dinner and the camper ladies make all kinds of good side dishes.

WEDNESDAY:
I'm up early, had my shower and waiting for grandson Eric.  He called last night to say that he is going back to Utica College today and will stop by to say good-by.  He is starting his third year now.  He wants to help coach the football team as his knee heals.

Eric was a little later than planned, he had lunch with Bob and Sarah.  Then I left  to go to lunch with friends from work.  Later they came over to our house and we all went swimming.  It was so hot, then all of a sudden these black skies and wind came pushing in.  I ran inside  to tell Bob about the wind and asked him to put the big umbrellas down, too late, one broke in two places.

No rain, it passed over and the sun came out again and was beautiful.  Now I have to water the plants.

Christianna sent photos of her kitchen update. The new counter has been installed and now her kitchen sink should fit.  Hopefully it's installed so she can do dishes now.   Okay, Christianna, let's be whipping out some pastafazoola!  Wonder if Joe likes to cook?

COUNTER IS VERY DRESSY WITH ALL THE STAINLESS STEEL ACCESSORIES.

NEW MICROWAVE INSTALLED ALSO.

THURSDAY:

What a climate change; definitely not a swim day.   Bob was happy with the weather change and he went right out to wax the motor home.   He usually works on it after supper but that doesn't allow much  time.

YA ALL KNOW HE ISN'T SUPPOSE TO BE ON A LADDER, SEE HOW HE CHEATS.  GOTTA WATCH HIM EVERY MINUTE!

KEEP GOING BOB, IT'S A BIG JOB
When he got tired, he called the company that makes the umbrella that broke yesterday in the wind.  "No parts available, take it back to the store."  That's what he did.  Lo and behold, they ordered him a new one!  That was a surprise.

THIS UMBRELLA IS JUNK NOW

I was busy all day, doing small  stuff.  Just putzing!  I didn't have much ambition, I was up most of the night-itching!   I'm thinking it's the medicine I'm taking.

That evening, I did go out to the motor home and put Old English on some more of the wood cabinets.  I have a long way to go.

FRIDAY:
Hay, a chance to go shopping.  Sarah had class from 9am-3pm on her computer and she had requested (very nicely) that we keep the noise down so she could hear.

ATTENDING GRAD CLASS ON LINE

Well, I knew we couldn't do that as how do you make breakfast, lunch and supper, quietly.  So I suggested to Bob that we go do some shopping.  I had a Mother's Day gift certificate to Macy's that was burning a hole in my pocket.  So off to Galleria we go.
I had received a flyer with a perfume sample (long ago) and I liked it and wanted some.  All I could remember was it was Karen something.  So I asked for help and the ladies knew exactly what I wanted...DONNA KAREN  perfume.  They had a kit which included other items (for $2.00 more) so they suggested I try it and do some more shopping until it "flavored"/dried!  I liked it!  Not to strong!   I wandered around, no bathing suits left, so I returned to the cosmetics counter to purchase the kit.  Thanks D & D!
Then on to JC Penney's.  I have this fetish about buying towels, Betsy kids me.  I just don't have enough hand towels for in the motor home so I added four to that supply.

Then we went to the Apple store.  Was that place busy!  All kids going back to school, I guess.  The two gray hairs (us) must have stood out like a sore thumb.  I wanted to sign up for classes so I could read books on Betsy's IPAD.
A young man attended to us for the initial request and found a worker who could help us.  The girl gave us several instructions and a web site address to sign up for classes.
She was so good and so patient.  The printing was so small on the IPAD, I could hardly read the icons as she mentioned them.  She solved that problem too.

We had a huge meal at "Five Guys" and headed home.  About 6:30pm we decided to go for ice cream as we weren't hungry enough for a meal.

After I tried to use the IPAD.  I read the weather, Face Book, and all the free books in the library.  There was one free mystery book so I down loaded it.  (Betsy got a message on her phone that someone had downloaded a book, aut oh.)   So now I'm all set for a couple nights of reading, the book has a 1000 pages.  I was pleased with my first set of instructions.

Bob wanted to work on polishing the MH (outside) but it had sprinkled so he offered to polish the cabinets inside.  I welcome the help!

Back in the house for the night, I suggested we check  out the  JOHN WAYNE movies that will be on  all weekend.  A 1967 movie; all drama and shoot outs.  I guess he rode a horse a couple times.   They shot up the gin mill bar door and the next scene the door was brand new, no holes.   It was so funny.
SATURDAY:
Hay, what's this?  Another cool day.  Rats!
A good cup of coffee and we are off-to what?

I need to order coffee for our Keurig k-cup machine.  During the week our machine was acting up, only a 1/2 a cup each time. So Bob ran the vinegar routine threw it.  It's better now.  I placed my order with the mailer discount coupon and I added another beverage cooler glass.  Under the rewards section you can buy (one per order) a insulated glass (usually $9.99) for $4.99 plus 50 points.  We have a couple already and I'm hooked on cold coffee drinks.

I did a couple loads of towels and worked on the computer a while.  The day just flew by.

After supper with warm ups, we drove downtown to check out the WNY  ROUND UP RALLY.  Motorcycles were every where.

THE WHITE BIKE ON LEFT CORNER WAS PRETTY.

THIS BIKE WAS FOR SALE.

VENDORS ON STREET THAT WAS BLOCKED OFF.

The restaurants were participating with special meals and sandwiches.  There was some bikes on Main Street but it didn't compare to Americad at Lake George.  A good start for an event.

We came home and watched some TV.  I couldn't wait to get back to my book.  It's a mystery story within the Buffalo area.  The author has named several towns nearby, the Broadway Market, and a old church.  The characters went for Chicken Wings but the Anchor Bar wasn't mentioned.

SUNDAY:
Another cooler day.  I got up this morning an shut the bedroom window as quick as I could.

Betsy mixed up some turkey burgers to freeze.  Then we  went to a couple stores over town.  Not much on the agenda today.  I made some telephone calls to check up on family.

Bob continued to wax the motor home.  He was rained out twice.

Nothing to exciting happening here.  So guess I'll post this and go back to my book.

Have a good week everyone.

RAIN TWICE THIS WEEK!

THIS WENT OVER OUR HOUSE ON SUNDAY!

MONDAY:

Our day was wrapped around the bank problems and my doctors appointment in Brockport.
Bob decided to go to the bank by himself as he felt they wouldn't know anything down town so why should two of us sit there.  It just happened that a young man there was very helpful.  He called people for most of the problems.  The credit card difference was because I paid early (didn't want an interest charge while away)  and they added another credit return to the statement.  They adjusted the bank deduction.  They had no idea why we had trouble with the downloads.  They had no idea why our July monthly savings wasn't taken out.  Bob had to reenter the function once he was home; it was wiped out.   We're working on it was there standard answer.
Their computers must have been down.

The doctors visit went pretty fast once we got there.  Bob had directions in his head that was taking us to Holley.  I said, whoa boy, turn around this isn't right.  He was still on overload from the bank.  The doctor was of another nationality and hard to understand but she was very patient with me asking what?  She did a scrapping and put the skin under a microscope, came back and told me it wasn't a fungus.  So, now the practice of medicine goes on.  First doctor said a fungus, went back maybe eczema, now PSORIASIS.  I have 2 new meds to try, return in a month.

We went to Wegman's grocery store.  We bought a cup of coffee and carried that around while picking up a few things.  Doesn't take much to reach $100.00.

Evening Olympics again.

TUESDAY:

Kinda a dull day.  I went to the Rite Aid store for the meds.  They had one prescription and sent me to the west end Rite Aid store  for the black slave and soap.  They didn't have it either and will order it so I have to go back tomorrow.   It was hot and muggy.

About 3 o"clock it started to rain.  Severe thunder.  It poured until 6:30pm.  Bob says the rain gauge registers 3.75 inches.  The water in the pool is up over the filter opening.  The over passes flooded down town and several dummies drove into it.

WATER RUNNING DOWN OUR FRONT DITCH.

WEDNESDAY:

We both had errands to do.  So about noon we piled in the Escape and started out.  Bob is back to working on the window frame on west side of house; it has turned into a big job.  3 sides are rotten.  Home Depot didn't have the clap board so we had to go to  Genesee Lumber.  No scrap pieces, so we had to buy a whole board.

I went into Rite Aid and was able to pick up the salve (made with coal tar) but they couldn't allow me to bring the soap home (sitting right on the counter) as it was by prescription only so they had to call the doctor.   We went on with our shopping.  In Bed, Bath & Beyond the drug store called me.  "The doctor isn't in today!"  Oh brother,  now I have to go back again tomorrow.

Oh the flies!  They are buzzing me, where's the swatter?

In the evening we watched more of the Olympics.  The athletes are awesome!  This is just my opinion-but I think the USA uniforms stink.  There's no pazza!  The grey jackets that they have to receive the medals in look like there from a Communist country.

Later Bob went out to see the Blue Moon.

THE BLUE MOON.

THURSDAY:

The house seems cooler today.  Good day to clean!  Sarah is coming home for a week  so I should shake a dust cloth a little since it's been a couple weeks.
Then my friend, Mo calls.  She was in the area, coming for coffee.
After she left, I continued my cleaning effort.  I put Old English on our kitchen set.  Well, the table and two chairs.  That was enough for now.  I'll catch the other two chairs next time.

After Bob's nap we went for a swim.  We had our four o'clock coffee outside in the sun.  Boy, I'm getting nervous about how many more swim days we will have.

Betsy wasn't going to be home for dinner tonight so we went to Miss
Batavia.  Then over to Rite Aid again to pick up the soap prescription.

More Olympics; I didn't realize there was so many varieties of volleyball and water games.

FRIDAY:

I couldn't get to sleep last night.  I saw 5:30am roll around.  During the day I felt like a zombie!
I changed our bedding and made supper (tuna casserole, ugh!)  that was about it, except going in the pool.

Bob made one more trip to Home Depot for paint to finish the window.

IT WAS HARD WORK AS HE HAD TO CRAWL AROUND THE FILTER.

SATURDAY:

No plans for the day, kinda boring.  Usually we have so much going on it's mind boggling.  So I decided to crank up the air conditioner so I could bake something.  I was in the mood for something lemon.  I found a lemon cake mix which I added poppy seed to and made cupcakes.  I put cream cheese frosting on them.   That's calories we don't need sitting around but oh so good.

Once baking dishes were washed and put away; I went out to enjoy the pool.  It was hot out.  I took my paperback book with me and sat under the umbrella to read.  I'm  not suppose to sit in the sun with this medicine for my feet.  What a pain in the kister!

We had a steak for supper and I made fresh cauliflower to go with that and a salad.  Love the veggies!

We had the Olympics on again but we were both reading until a different venue came on.  It was so hot in the rec room we eventually went up stairs to the air conditioners.  85o at night!

SUNDAY:

Looks very grey out.  Maybe more rain coming.

Sarah on her way, she will be home about 4 o:clock.

I was just getting interested in doing something outside and the rain came down in buckets.  Lots of thunder & lightening.  We ran around closing windows.  The ditch out front is full again.  We retreated into the house; Bob napped and I read.  I finished another book so now I have to go on line and look up another.  (Sandra Brown/SMASH CUT.  Mystery based on Movies.)

CINDER DOES NOT LIKE THE THUNDER, SHE WAS WAITING FOR ME TO COME IN FROM THE PORCH DECK.

Sarah is home now, guess I'll close and go visit with her.  Everyone have a good week.  Stay cool.

Thanks for clicking in.
