ON THE ROAD AGAIN, TIMBER RATTLESNAKES, LAST CAMPING TRIP

Monday:
When I got up it was nice outside, not warm but decent.
Goals for today was loading up the motor home for our last camp out.  We leave tomorrow for Ives Run in Tioga, PA.  It's about twenty minutes past the NY - PA border.
(last unless another idea comes along before the camp grounds all close)
I made a trip down to the library first; can't go without books to read.  I asked to have my name put on the waiting list for the new Nicholas Sparks book called The Longest Ride.  He is one of my favorite authors.

After lunch, Bob and I went to Wal Mart for a few things plus groceries.
I packed warm clothes so hope it doesn't fool me and go to 90o.

TUESDAY:
After hooking up the truck, we left the college about1:15 and arrived at Ives Run about 3:55pm.  (110 miles) Check in was at 4:00pm.  We stopped once at a rest area to check the towing truck.  It was fine. It was a beautiful day; sunny and the leaves on the trees were pretty.  Mostly golds and browns, I only saw three trees that were red.

It was a pokey ride thru the burgs until we got to the express way (390) then Bob must have felt more comfortable, he lit his pipe and put the pedal to the medal. It was a rough ride, lots of bumps.   There was construction on the north side of 390, a brand new road going in.  We had noticed the work when we returned from our trip to Washington, DC.
Arriving at the check in office to find no attendant, we proceeded to our camping site.  While unhooking the car, the park ranger came along and registered our reserved spot.  Comfortably set up we had coffee and a snack.  So supper was later and we had Chapter 1 (Rochester Chapter) ladies come by and invite us to their camp fire.
There was six of us sitting around the fire and some how the subject of electric came up.  The others had 50amps and Bob stated that we only had 30amps.  Well the guys told him that there are two electric boxes per pole; the top is 50 and the bottom is 30.  Bob never looked and they had a big laugh over that.  Then they had more TV channels than us, they told him if he plugged into 50amps he would have more channels too.  (Believe that and someone could sell you most anything,  the Brooklyn Bridge maybe)  We chatted and laughed until 10:00pm.  It wasn’t to cold, surprisingly as frost was expected.  We had 6 people at campfire.

WEDNESDAY;
Cool morning, I had to cover my nose in bed.  Imagine if you were camping outside…Hoa. Hoa.  We have a small electric heater and Bob had that going so by the time I actually got up it wasn’t bad.   Bob stayed in bed…ah retired and no commitments today.  Bacon and eggs were more like a brunch.

We stayed around camp, Bob cleaned the dead bugs off the windshield and I read my book, put a load of wash in the washer, until more of our camping friends arrived.

We enjoyed another warm campfire at night with 12 people there.

THURSDAY;
We couldn’t make up our minds as to where we wanted to go today.  Dress like a tourist, act like a tourist and be a tourist.  Our decision was based on doing something different, we had been to the Elmira Christmas House and we have eaten at the Fry Brothers Turkey Farm.  So that left the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania.

Wellsboro was just 11 miles away so we cruised the burg for a while and then stopped for lunch at the famous Wellsboro Diner.
OLD FASHIONED METAL CAR

HEALTH FOOD, HA!  WE HAD PIE TOO!
We had a delicious lunch then walked the street and visited about 4 gift shops.  I am always hunting decorating ideas; not that I need anymore stuff to store.  The town had gas lights decorated with corn stalks going down the middle of the street.

We then drove to the GC and walked around there viewing the canyon.  It was very pretty.
LOOKING EAST

LOOKING WEST

BEAUTIFUL!
I was all engrossed - reading a sign along the viewing rail about the history of the Timber Rattle snake and I heard this voice say,  “I have one all boxed up if you wanted one.”  I was taken back.
JUST READING THE SIGN HAS ME ON EDGE!
HATE SNAKES!

Out of the corner of my eye I could see a hand and a long narrow brown thing that went to the cement.  HE WAS VERY CLOSE TO ME.  I panicked.  Now hold on woman don’t get nuts, your in the public eye, there was a bus load of people there.  Who is this jerk, is he holding a snake?  My feet were already in a backwards motion.  Bob must have sensed my distress and he walked back beside me.  A volunteer in a park vest continued to speak to me.  What a stupid thing to say for an ice breaker!

RETIREES DOING PARK WORK
Turns out he and his wife were volunteers to spread the history of the canyon and they were both very, very nice. The long brown thing was his walking stick. Houses at the bottom of canyon were built by Governor Stone for a secluded hide away near the trout fishing stream.  The governor's wife complained about cigar smoking, card playing men  so he built her a home near by for the women.  The flying birds were Turkey Buzzards.  The rhododendron shrubs all around the area were huge.

Back to camp, more of our group had arrived.  We dropped off the wood bundle and went to the camper to make our four o’clock coffee and went to visit with the new comers.   Two arrivals had problems.  One man had a leaking water pump problem on his truck and another had blown a tire on the way.  The tire shredded and tore the camper fender skirt, ripped out the lines underneath the kitchen slide for the propane and electric.  But all are safe.  Ride Em & Fix Em!

For supper I put pot pies in the convection as we had such a big lunch downtown.  Our days are going to fast!

FRIDAY:
A casual morning, I made bacon and eggs again.  Then Bob went out to polish the coach.  One side was in the shade so he was anxious to do it as we do not have shade at home.
I went out to sit in the sun and read; but I couldn't keep my eyes open so I snuck in for a nappie!  I had a lousy night, I finally got up and shut that noisy heat pump off and plugged in the electric heater.  Later I helped to polish.
One of my friends and I talked, she has a secret group page within Face book.  So she requested my sign on as a friend and I can now see her postings.  She had started a Blog a year ago and found this and decided it was easier.  She and her husband have been FULL TIMERS for a year.  She has beautiful pictures of their travels out west.
At 4:00pm we loaded up to go for our Friday Fish Fry.  One of our Chapter members had just arrived so Bob and I waited for them.   Bob and Norm was talking away and Bob went right thru a four way stop. (so the followers told me, I couldn't see from the back seat)  Hoa, Hoa!  Lakeview Restaurant was way up on a mountain and the scenery was just beautiful.
That evening we had 20 people at campfire.  The stories were bountiful.  Of course for a laugh, everything had to be reiterated about the 50 amps and 2 TV stations.  One camper informed us that he had received a notice from his supplementary insurance before leaving home; his policy was going up-Obama Care!  (Bob just checked ours- Bob's is going up $16.00 and mine is going up $31.00, crying out loud!)
(At home, Betsy met the repairman to fix our dryer, yeah!)

TEAM ANNALYNN
The dog is OTTO; Mark & Annalynn's dog.
Tonight we missed going to LIGHT THE NIGHT for LLS at Delaware Park in Buffalo due to camping.  But TEAM ANNALYNN continues to grow.  They walked again to help raise funds.

SATURDAY:
Up at 7:00am, pack and start home.  We have a 21st birthday party to attend this afternoon.
Just after we pulled in to our house, David stopped.  He had just delivered 18 school buses.  Happy Camper!
HE WENT FISHING DURING THE WEEK.
THIS IS A BIG SUCKER; NO IT'S A SALMON!

Eric, our youngest of the six grandchildren is now 21.  He received a new phone as a gift which requires a finger print to use.  He was very proud of it, having us all try it to no avail.

NIKI, ERIC AND OTTO

OUR BABY IS 21!

WHO'S BIRTHDAY IS NEXT TO PULL THE KNIFE OUT?

I received compliments on my Blog again which is very encouraging.  Readers are still hanging in there, no matter the subjects.  Debbie brought a new pumpkin desert.  Sorta like dump cake as you mix the pumpkin right into cake mix, bake then top with cream cheese, whipped cream, Carmel syrup...umm.    After tons of food and more visiting, we returned home and I went straight to bed.
SUNDAY:
I'm up and at em!  Time to dig in and take care of the loads of washing, and finish unloading the camper.  All the bird feeders are empty so I told Bob to go out and fill them-in his pajamas-ha!  I'd do it but one is so high that I can't reach it.
This photo just in:
ERIC & NIKI AT THE BILL'S GAME
Next week Sarah is coming home for a couple days so we have her visit to look forward too.  The family was making plans so everyone can see her.  I guess they are talking about a place that's like an adult Chuckie Cheese, dinner and a movie.  Should be fun.

We really enjoyed this past week, celebrating fall.  Hope you have a good week. We'll probably be raking leaves.

COOL PUMPKINS! HARVESTING! DECORATING!

Scarecrows, Corn Rows,
Pumpkins on the Vine,
Leaves Curl, Wind Swirls,
Fall is right on time!

MONDAY:

What's in store for this week?

Lots of little duties done since I can't do the washing.  (Hope that part comes in this week for the dryer.)
My biggest accomplishment was going to BJ's and stocking up on meats.  Then I made stuffed peppers for supper.  I had made Betsy's recipe for Western Peppers enough; tired of the corn and hot stuff in stuffed peppers.  So back to Great Grandma Rindo's old fashioned peppers.  Stuffing is good and spicy with pepper and I made the tomato gravy with cream.  Ummm!

Betsy had said she was going shopping before coming home for supper.  She does this as once home she is to tired to go back out.  She didn't get home until 7:00pm.  She had this idea from a magazine picture for a new Fall decoration for the hall table.
.

If bought from magazine $226.00.
  Chevron Pumpkin $39.00
Striped Pumpkin $39.00
Harlequin Pumpkin $49.00
Candles $99.00 Crow not included.

She came home with all kinds of pumpkins, candle sticks, ribbon, and florist pics, etc.  See, I told you she wanted to get rid of my Miss Bunny.

BETSY'S LOOT

I was so happy to know my Steelers would be televised.  We sat thru it.  How disappointing as Big Ben couldn't connect any passes until the very end; he kept over shooting the receivers.  My sweet potato, Troy didn't liven the game up either.  They play Buffalo in November this year at Pittsburgh.  It's his 11th year and I'm so afraid he is going to retire; then I'll have to pick another rookie to follow.  It was on FB that he will be cutting his hair on Nov. 11th in honor of the Veterans to raise funds.  He was asking others to do the same and raise funds.
TUESDAY:
The first!  Bob was up at 7:30am and he said it was 33o and there was frost on the shed.  So here we go into the long dreary months of winter.  Well, we will have to see about the dreary part-nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Bob is off fishing with his friends.  He donned all his newly acquired fishing clothes and his walking stick and he looked like he weighed 250 pounds.  He will come home tired after lugging all that around.

TONAWANDA CREEK
IT LOOKS PRETTY
A NICE DAY TO BE OUTSIDE.
I brought our dehydrator in out of the shed; it needed washed up before using.  Hope to dry some parsley and basil.

Bob continues to work on the tile in the motor home bathroom.  He has put the grout in now.  It's just a little dress up event.

BOB HAS PUT THE GROUT IN THE TILES.
This had to sit for 24 hours.  Good thing the temp warmed up some for drying.

THE BLACK TRIM IS ON
AND THE ELECTRIC PLUG IS HOOKED BACK UP.

WEDNESDAY:

No frost today.  Just cool until afternoon.  I cut some more parsley and brought it in the house.  After washing and snipping, I put it in the dehydrator trays.

PARSLEY - READY TO BE DRIED.
We had ham for dinner last night and today I ground it up for ham salad.  We both love this and we eat way to much.

Bob helped set up the electric for my Halloween village and then he went to Tops for gas.  We had .80 off each gallon.   I finished setting the Dept. 56 village up.  Then clean up the mess and take the boxes to the shed.  Then I was pooped.

THE HAUNTED VILLAGE.

After supper Betsy worked on her deco idea.   We had made the flower arrangement on Tuesday night in the black pumpkin.  There is lots of glitter in it which doesn't show up.

SHE PAINTED THE PUMPKINS
AND SPRAYED THEM WITH A GLOSS.

She is not happy with it-tomorrow she is going to buy the crow!
THURSDAY:
Up late; no plans for the day.  Maybe go to Office Max for ink, I've been printing in all black for some time now.
We buzzed over town and did a few errands.
Boring!  I read at night.
FRIDAY:
I spent the morning making two  batches of cookies.  I cranked up the air conditioner (inconsistent weather again) as it was to get hot out today.  Seems it took me a lot longer than when I was younger.
No dryer part, bummer.
Nothing very exciting today.  I saw four deer after supper in the back field.

SATURDAY:
Rain!  The household was scurrying around this morning to get ready to go to Lockport for Rocky's birthday.  Debbie was having it early for some reason, 1:00 clock pm.

When we arrived we all were surprised by a new set of sofas in their rec room.  Geeze, they still have money after that fabulous wedding?  It's a wrap around sectional with cup holders in the storage parts.  There are outlets in the end table parts that you can plug into with your technical toys.  (phones, I pads, what ever)  Neat!

There was a lot of conversation going on and I was interested in the IOS phone update.  Someone at Channel 2 stated 10 changes that he knew of and one was that we wouldn't be able to post to Facebook anymore.  What?  Then I don't want to upgrade.  So I asked a guest who had updated.  She posted Rocky's birthday photo on Facebook with a blink of an eye.  So that threat is not true, what was he talking about?

HAPPY 24TH HANDSOME!

I did hear that appliances (like non Apple charger cords) will not work anymore.   Betsy says, we will have to enter a password with each use-what a pain in the kister!!!!  Hope they do away with that.  I'll have to go see our friend Bob, as I'll bet he has that inconvenience solved already.  How long can I hold out before up grading?

Once back home, we had our computers on.  Bob helped me fix the Medical Transportation screen in Quicken.  Since the Quicken upgrade had changed a few things.  That's for income tax filing and I hate scrambling at the last minute.

We then watched a movie on Apple TV.  The Jackie Robinson Story", the first African American to enter into professional baseball.   We enjoyed it.  Harrison Ford was so cute!!
He is always entertaining.

SUNDAY:
It's cold!  Rats!
After a little bit of computer work, I'm thinking of watching the games on TV.  Covering up with a blanket and vegge out.  Betsy is making a small pot of sauce and I have steaks defrosting for din din..easy day.

We have had a good week, hope you have too.
Thanks for clicking in and hope to see you back next time.

CHANGES IN THE WEATHER, GLASS TILE FOR THE COACH, VISITING THE NEWLLYWEDS.

THE LAST OF THE
 SUNFLOWERS
MONDAY:
Doesn't it feel like we fell off a cliff-out of summer into fall so drastically?
This morning it was cool in the house.  After my shower I said to Bob, "pretty soon we will have to turn the heat on."  Then as I walked into the bedroom I thought I could smell the heat.  What to hay?  So I felt the registers and sure enough they were hot!  I checked the thermostat and it said 71o...right away I ask if he had turned it up.  No he didn't touch it.  Well, pennies to dollars; I'll bet he did.  He had a quilt up around his head during the night.  Okay Bob, it wasn't that cold.

We had lunch today at Miss Batavia with our friends, Bob and Bonnie.  They had a two week trip planned and discovered the Hydro Heat element was leaking in their motor home. They had just dropped their motor home off for repair.  Ride Em & Fix Em.

Bob spent the afternoon rebuilding the winter cover for the new pool heater.  The new heater is two inches bigger than the old one.  He has boards all over the patio.  I hope he gets all the outside work done before the Salmon start running and he goes fishing again.  That my friends is a peaceful day for  me.

So while I attend the washing, I 'm trying to decide if I want to haul out the fall decorations.  Each change of season I go thru this thought process.  The grand kids are all grown up and away; who will see it?  If like us, your not in the market for new furniture, rugs, what have ye, maybe decos would help.  I have to admit to myself that the decorations does something to liven up the place.  So start the crawl, a little at a time and make house beautiful.

TUESDAY:
Muggy morning!  Weather for cast says high 90o.  Oh boy.  Pull the drapes and turn on the air.  Lay off the  coffee so you don't sweat!  Have supper delivered!  Yeah!
1)There ya go little Miss Bunny.  Your dress is changed and your a perky fall item.  Little Miss Bunny is getting old, but my sister, Tootsie,  keeps sewing beautiful dresses for her to keep her attractive.   That's one item out.  Yes readers you have seen her before but isn't she still cute?   Betsy would love to throw her to the curb and get something modern for this table.
2) Here's another oldie.  Back in 1981 while camping with my niece, Terri, we sat and turned all these material leaves to make this wreath.  Some of them we poked to hard and had to resew the points.  It was a good entertainment activity for us girls.  Over the years, I have had to add flower pics as the mice that came in for winter made holes in the leaves.   Debbie, Annalynn and I made about 8 of these while fund raising for the many Leukemia events.

Last night we watched the movie THE GREAT GATSBY.  I wanted to see the person who sang the same song that Annalynn sang at the wedding; A LITTLE PARTY NEVER HURT NOBODY.   It was not to be-there was such a short clip of the music and I never did see a person singing the song.  I was disappointed.  How did the song ever get popular?  It was a long movie and pretty good but I wouldn't go out to buy it for a collection or anything.

WEDNESDAY:
Up early to shower and get ready to go for a haircut.  I saw Christianna at the beauty shop so we visited.  My hair was so long, the cut feels so good.  Then we had lunch with Debbie at the hospital.  She made an appointment for Bob's stress test which will complete his physical for this year.
Once back to Batavia we stopped for some groceries.  At home it was hotter than blazes, we turned up all the AC units and just vegged out!
After supper, we viewed 600 photos from Annalynn's photographer.  Yipes!

THURSDAY:
Rainy morning.  What a relief from yesterday.  It will be good to work inside.

There are Christmas commericals already!  The first present I always bought each year was for Cinder, our Schnauzer.  Miss her.

We have had an error message coming up within Quicken for several months now and we just ignored it by X'ing out of it.  Plus Bob did something a day or two ago and we have double entries again back to March.   Since it's raining, Bob wanted to work on it.  We were on the phone for an hour with the bank but it looks like the error message is removed.  Yeah!  Then we tackled the double entries.  We sat here until 3:30pm and my arsh hurts!
Rain again this afternoon.  No lawn work today.

Bob went for his Shingles shot.  Cost him $90.00 co pay.  He has a different insurance than I have.   He also went to the dentist; his bottom plate is bothering him.  Joe put in a soft liner to try then told Bob to keep that pipe out of his mouth for two hours!

FRIDAY:
Rainy again!  A constant mist that looks like it's coming out of the North-East.  I had remarked to Bob that we have had more weeds and big, big weeds from all the rain this summer.  Just look at the size of the cat tails along the roads.  You'll see what I mean.

Okay just a minute - I have a nasty fly buzzing my head..ya another fall sign.

Well, we are waiting on a service man to come and see what's wrong with my clothes dryer.  It clunks as I turn it on and I did smelled gas on Monday.
I mean a hard, loud, clunk,  like I had it loaded with shoes and boots or something.  No matter what you spend on things, they are not going to last as long as the older ones.  We bought it in December 2009 (3.5 years)  and this is the first service call.  Hope it isn't a repeat plight into the future.

I have putzed around upstairs doing a few things;  put a roast in the crock pot, sorted all the dry cleaning to go, yadda, yadda.  Where is that service man.

The service man has been here.  Not good news.  A part is broken and will be ordered.  FROM SWEDEN!!!!!!!!  Of all things.  No dryer till next Friday if the part comes in.
The crock pot roast was horrible!  The new packet that I tried was so different..tasted like a lot of vinegar or something.  It was called Tavern Roast beef or something like that...not a keeper, will not buy again.
We watched some TV until bored with the programs.  I went to read.

SATURDAY:
Hate to admit it but the place needed dusted and cleaned.  Done!

PUMPKIN DUMP CAKE
RECIPE OFF FACE BOOK
Bob helped me save a new recipe that I want to try.  PUMPKIN DUMP CAKE.  I'll let ya know if it's a keeper.  I was in the kitchen all afternoon baking.
APPLE PIE
FOR A SNACK
At the Farmer's Market, I asked for a pie apple.  The lady suggested Paula Reds as 20 ounce apples are not ready yet.  They pretty much baked up and looked like Apple Sauce.

I was so anxious to try this Dump Cake because I don't like to make icing.  The Pumpkin Dump cake has been tested and it sits!  Betsy didn't like the texture of the pumpkin-kinda spongy.  Bob missed the crust like a pie.  I thought it needed a lot more spice.  I put a lot more spice in my pies. So it's not a keeper.
Bob mowed the back field.  Then he started measuring the coach bathroom wall to install the glass tile behind bathroom sink.  That required a trip to Home Depot so we went out to Bob Evans for supper.

SUNDAY:
I was the last person up again.  Bob & Betsy were busy working on fitting the tile in the motor home bathroom.

WORKING AROUND THE ELECTRIC PLUG

AFTER THE GROUT,
THERE WILL BE BLACK STRIPS TO BORDER IT.
In the afternoon we were invited to the newlyweds in Rochester for our 4:00 clock coffee.  We had preplanned to bring our wedding gifts there rather than carting them to Ogdensburg.

ANNALYNN POURING COFFEE
SHE HAS HER MaCKENZIE CHILDS SUGAR & CREAMER IN USE.

MARK & ANNALYNN
OPENING OUR WEDDING GIFTS.
Their apartment is so cute.  They have done a lot of work in just the two weeks.  Their neighborhood is quite; lots of old beautiful homes.
The Bills game was on and Bob was happy to see the ending, especially since his team won.  It was so nice to visit them; now we can stop wondering what their place looks like.

And so this completes another week.  It was a slower pace than previous; and it's very welcome.   On we go to the next week.  Have a good one and thanks for clicking in.

LOTS TO BLOG

Okay, let's do this. So much has occurred over the last three weeks that I'm finding it difficult to begin.  Most places during our locations did not have WIFI or if they did it was lousy.  We had texts coming into  phone at 3:00AM some times; probably when all other users had signed off for the evening.   It took forever to send a picture.   There was just so much going on that I didn't even type into Word for my postings.

August 19th -20th: Monday, Tuesday:

All efforts were to pack and get ready for departure on Wednesday, heading for Ogdensburg, NY. To attend Annalynn’s and Mark’s wedding.

August 21th: WEDNESDAY:

Take off day!  Other than glitzy clothes and food, I have Thank You gifts,  decorations for the golf cart that we are renting and extra lawn chairs.  The motor home is stuffed!  It will be puffing all the way there with this load.
The car checked out with hook up and away we go.  We had stopped for lunch and had driven another two hours when I said to Bob-you've been driving for two hours, it's time to get out and stretch again.  I head for the bathroom.  Bob opens the outside door and here come three DOT MEN WITH FIRE EXTINGUISHERS IN HAND!  Bob says, what's going on?
They replied; "your car is smoking!"  We had no idea, no one had flagged us down or called on the CB.  Bob couldn't turn the key, or the wheels.  They finally got the hood open.  Bob immediately unhooked the car and moved the bus way over!!!   The truck transmission overheated and ruined.

AAA TO THE RESCUE.
We continued on to the wedding location with the motor home.  Mark's father had a designated spot for us to park right on his property.  What a grand, beautiful wedding; both parents were so generous.  Three days of fabooooulous food.  So many special effects with family entertainment as well as a supper band.

Our surprise!  Bob had asked Mark's father to rent a golf cart for our use which we would pay for as long as he was renting others for the event.  We knew the wedding tent was down over the hill by the river and I envisioned a tough time getting down there.  Plus our friends from Batavia have walking problems too and we wanted to transport them.

MARK'S FATHER, LOU AND HIS SON NICK.
THE LICENSE PLATES SAY "MILKMAN"
THIS WAS OUR SURPRISE!

Being in the milk business most of his working career; Bob is widely known as the "MILKMAN".  This golf cart was a surprise for him.  It was perfect!  Bob's CB handle is "MILKMAN" which we use when traveling up and down the highway.  Many times driver's have alerted us to problems by the CB.  What's that make me?  The "MILKMAID".  No way, My handle is Marigold.   It's also nice to hear where the "brown paper wrapper" (police) sits waiting for our arrival.

The reception was held on the property of Mark's parents.  They had a football size tent with two smaller tents adjoining for the chefs.  The tent was divided with one end for horses over, bars on each end.  A lovely wooden sofa sitting area for guests.  Guests could also sit on the stone wall right beside the St. Lawrence River.  Beautiful venue, we all watched the setting sun on the water.

THE RECEPTION TENT - HUGE!

Moving on: we helped where ever needed to prepare some of the special effects.

ONE HUNDRED CIRCLES OF BURLAP WAS CUT;
SHRUBS OR PLANTS WERE WRAPPED IN BURLAP
AND TIED WITH A WIDE NAVY RIBBON.  THESE WERE PLACED AS PROTECTION AT EACH TENT STAKE.

KATHERINE, (ROCKY'S FRIEND) DEBBIE AND I
AS MORE FRIENDS AND FAMILY ARRIVED THEY ALL PITCHED IN.

ROCCO FOUND THESE SPECIAL LANTERNS FOR THE TENT.
ROCKY, BOB AND ROCCO WORKED ON THESE.

So many other things were done, to hard to mention all.   Saturday morning one of the dinning halls was set up for the beauty shop.

TAMMY DE VOE AND SARAH
TAMMY OWNS HAIR CHATEAU OF LOCKPORT
7 STYLISTS TO DO HAIR.
Lots of "do's" with all the women.  Of course there was food.  Everywhere we went there was food!

Many hours of planning went into this wedding, it was so special, just like SOME ENCHANTED EVENING!    The ceremony was held at St. Mary's Cathedral in Ogdensburg.  Many relatives took part in the readings and songs.  Annalynn even invited her transplant donor (Jessie) to attend and she and the God parents presented the Communion gifts at mass.

This story started many moons ago.  I don't know exactly when Annalynn met Mark but sometime she decided that he was a keeper.  We all admired how he stayed by her side thru her illness.  And now they can have some happiness.

MY VERY FAVORITE MOMENT ABOUT THE WHOLE WEDDING:

ANNALYNN SINGING - "A LITTLE PARTY NEVER KILLED NO BODY!"
Annalynn has always been theatrical-  when she got to the part about - if I ain't your girl, she pointed right at Mark.  To see a good video go to YOUTUBE type in Bridesmaid Dance and pick the one by Elizabeth Greene.

 AUGUST 25-26th MONDAY:
We are at Back Bay on Black Lake in a fishing campground.  Narrow one lane road entrance with rock cliffs either side.  Bob said he wasn't backing up if we met someone.  Once on site it was very nice; cement pad, BBQ, sewer, water and 50 amps.  It was our destination following the wedding; for sewer hook up and a brief rest before heading home.  The only problem is we are still waiting for the repair of our truck.  Bob has been out fishing already and I am doing the true to Monday things; the Splendie washing machine is going and I have done some hand wash of delicate items worn.
AUGUST 27TH; TUESDAY
We moved.  Fishing was to hard going down the 5 set of stairs.  Now in a municipal park.  Bob is out of medicine.  50 phone calls and a trip to town and he had another days supply.  4;30pm. The truck is ready!  We can head home tomorrow.

Once back home; we unpacked all the party clothes and decorations.  Then  repacked the motor home for the trip to Ohio for a 40th anniversary  party for Bob's youngest sister and her husband.  (Marj & Rick)

MARJ, RICK, and their children;
MICHELLE AND CHRIS

RICK SHOWING A LITTLE CAUTION ABOUT SHARING CAKE!

We had a great weekend as Bob's sister, Jane and hubby, Al were also here from Florida.   Lots of visiting and they prepared some mighty good meals.  Many more years kids!

HOME MONDAY: DUCK PARTY
Joe had invited us all to the birthday party for Christianna.  So we beat it home to attend.  If I had received the text from Debbie in Ohio, we could have gone to the Ashtabula Wal*Mart which was 6 miles from our camp for T-Shirts.  But I didn't so at home we hurried to shower and dress and go in what ever.   Christianna told me that she likes the Duck program but she didn't think she liked it this much!  Ha!  I guess the gang just didn't want to give up on parties.   Everyone likes to party.

CHRISTIANNA
THEY EVEN GAVE HER A SHIRT!

We hit the sack as soon as we got home.

TUESDAY:
Unload motor home, do wash, take a nappie.
WEDNESDAY:
Do necessary things..go for food as the refrig is empty!!!  Bob cleaned the motor home; inside and out....take a nappie.  We changed the sheets to flannel for our next camp out!   Just keep the feet moving even if they are dragging!   Time out to make some Jamaica Me Crazy Iced Coffee.  Yeah!
THURSDAY:
A little rain, dark skies, a few errands and prepare for the next event.   I need to see what I'm wearing to the Di Salvo wedding tomorrow night.

Our neighbor is having the line of pine trees cut down...grinding and sawing going on for two days.  A total of 18 trees came down; I asked my neighbor if he had received a Federal Grant...think of the costs.

FRIDAY:

I need to do a few things for our date tonight.  I painted my nails and they turned out cruddy.  I almost called Betsy to come home for lunch and do them for me.  Then Bob needed some help; our pool patio was covered with saw dust pieces!  It was down in the pool heater and everywhere else.  So I ran the shop vac to help while he used the air gun to get the pieces out of heater.   What a mess.

The wedding was outside at Hidden Valley Lodge in Varysburg.  What a beautiful venue.  They have spared no expense on the grounds, lakes and lodge, just stunning.  But it's out in the boonies!  However, they are booked a year in advance for weddings.  They also have an animal refuge and give tours; kangaroos were right near the lodge but Bison and Elk and what ever are on the acreage.

HIDDEN VALLEY LODGE
The DJ had an elimination dance for married couples that we joined in; there was four couples still standing after 55 years was called.  The grooms grandparents-Ron and Rose, another couple unknown and our friends, Billy and Freida and us.  Billy and Freida won with 59 years!  Still kids right?
SATURDAY:
I didn't get up until 10:30.  I had a "Charlie horse" in my leg during the night and was walking around to get it out.  Would two dances cause that?  Oh boy old age.
I had my coffee on the porch and could see Bob and Betsy working on closing the pool.  They had it half done already.  After I helped some.  It's done but we haven't moved the pool furniture under the deck yet because Bob needs to look at the floor boards-we noticed boards separating like the deck is sinking!  More maintenance!

JUST IN TIME BEFORE THE RAIN.
SUNDAY:
Today was a very nice day, lots of sun.  Wouldn't ya know after closing the pool.  We continued to work on putting the patio items away.  But first Bob had to see about fixing the floors boards of the deck.

THINKING ABOUT WHAT TO DO.

ADJUSTABLE METAL POLE TO RAISE DECK

I cleaned out the flower bed and cut some parsley back.  I want to freeze some of it.
I HAVE 3 MORE BUNCHES,
 ANYONE NEED SOME?
We did take a break an watched some of the Bills game since Pittsburgh wasn't televised.  Lots of action, many penalties.   The stadium was full which is a good thing.

So now we are up to date and looking forward to another week.  Everyone have a good one and thanks for clicking in.
