NEW EXPERIENCE-GLASS CLASS WITH THE GIRLS, THEN A PAINTING CLASS WITH THE GIRLS.

MONDAY:
Betsy and Sarah was up first, they had the washer going and they were dressed to go over town to tan.      They were going to pick up fishing licenses and some groceries also.   They had breakfast out while we sat here waiting for a loaf of bread for lunch.  Ahh?
After we went to the Industrial Center to the Oatka Glass Center for a class.   Betsy found the class on the internet but we still didn't know what a novice could make.  The attendant showed us several ideas.  When we decided on a dish to hold a candle, and had instructions the work began while the attendant went to eat her lunch.

Both the girls changed their ideas.  These were sprayed with hair spray to hold the glass chips in place.  They will be fired in an oven tomorrow and we can pick them up some time this weekend.  We returned home for a nap.

Betsy and Sarah made our favorite chicken recipe for dinner.  Oh so good.  Breaded/fried chicken cutlets, salad, asparagus and rice with cream cheese onion/chive sauce.  Out of this world!  After the girls went to a movie and we watched the weather reports while doing this week's washing.   Exciting yaw!

TUESDAY:

Nasty, cold, rainy day!  High winds!  I thankful that we are safe from tornadoes as in the south.

The girls are off and running to Rochester for the day. We decided to go to Rochester too so I could  get a light therapy treatment.   The psoriasis has spread from bottom of my feet to all over  my legs; some on hands and arms.  Everyone says to sit in the sun, I will when there is some.  Guess we didn't listen to the directions well enough; the light center is closed on Tuesday and Thursday.   PUNT!  We did a little shopping again and was home in time to eat lunch.

WEDNESDAY:

We were going fishing! It was raining and cold, we pondered about our plans.  None of us wanted to disappoint each other so no one would back out due to weather.  The girls had bought their licenses.  We wanted to picnic too.  I wrote a list of sandwiches that we wanted from subway and Betsy offered to go pick them up.  Bob had most of the tackle ready and loaded when she got back.

The girls all caught sunfish.  Bob and Sarah caught a tree!  Sarah commented that it was so nice to get away from the computer and Face Book and laugh!
OUR FIRST PICNIC OF THE YEAR.
WE HAD FUN DESPITE THE WEATHER.
WE WERE WET AND FREEZING BY THIS TIME.

One more event for the day was a painting class in Rochester.  We showered and took off to pick up Annalynn and Debbie.  Then we went to Toni D's for dinner.  The class was in the upstairs of a pizza restaurant and it was so hot that I felt sick.  It must have been on top of the pizza ovens.  We were to paint the skyline of the city of Rochester on a 33.1/3 vinyl record.  Well, it was not my cup of tea!  The record was on an easel and I could not draw a straight line to save my soul.  I have to have my work laying down in front of me.

THURSDAY:
Betsy took Sarah to the airport, Sarah is finishing up her vacation in Florida with friends.  The Jet Set!

Time to go to the hospital again to have the cataract in the right eye removed.  I had a discussion with the doctor about the stomach cramps after the first surgery.  She didn't think it was the anesthesia causing the cramps, perhaps the anti-biotic that she put in my eye.  She either used less or had a different type of anti-biotic as I did not have stomach cramps this time.  Surgery was about an hour behind , she explained there was a problem with her previous patient.  My instructions were not to lift more than 10 pounds or bend at the waist for the rest of day, so I flopped around from bed to couch watching TV.  Oh so glad it's behind me now!  Now I just have the drops to put in for three weeks.

FRIDAY:

Back to the doctor's office for the check up and they removed the bandage, yea.  New instructions; put one of the drops in every two hours as the cornea is swollen.  Oh boy, my eye is black and blue.

We watched the horse races at the Kentucky Derby.  Man the power of those animals.  They are beautiful.  Of course, I'm watching to see the fashions.  One owner's family was all in royal blue dresses and hats.  Tomorrow is the big race.

We went to Miss Batavia restaurant for supper.  It was crowded! That wasn't enough calories, on the way home we went to the ice cream stand for a baby cone which was delicious!

I had heard that the movie Last Vegas was cute so we searched for that to watch.  Sorta a knock off the Bucket List type.

SATURDAY:

I decided to make a pot of soup for supper.  I scrounged around the cupboards and freezers for ingredients.  It ended up to be a beef base (out of chicken broth) with cut pieces of sausage links, vegetables and tortellini noodles..  It was okay, a little spicy.

We watched more of the horse races.  Bob went over town for my meds and came back with a horse race bet ticket.  He liked the favored horse called California Chrome.  The last of the big spenders put $2.00 down.  Won.  $6.00 gain.  Happy, happy.  He also bet on the girl jockey (Rosie) to win, place or show and she came in last.  Lost $6.00 bet!

Bob did all kinds of outside work so he wasn't to perky after supper.  We had a old Sandra Bullock movie playing which wasn't to exciting so we just gave up and went to bed.

SUNDAY:
Trying to work in a few things as this next week will be a busy one with lots on the calendar.   I have some correspondence and some financial stuff done.  I also pushed the washing thru so that's not starring me in the face at night.
Blogging went real good until I got to the painting pictures.  I recruited Bob again as the pictures would not stay put.  Patience Caroline,  one more step closer to quitting.  Grrrr!

Betsy hauled in some groceries and she has dinner in the crock pot with a side of desert-strawberry shortcake.  Time to eat and time for more drops in the eyes.

Hope you have a good week and thanks for clicking in.
