TIME TO FACE THE MUSIC! UNLOADING AND CLEANING THE MOTOR HOME.

While camping, my friend Pam fired off this picture of the guys trouble shooting;  parts are parts.  We thought it cute since they all had their hands in their pockets!  One of them did tell Bob that the Serpentine belt and tires all had enough thread for a couple more years.
HOW MANY HOLIDAY RAMBLERS DOES IT TAKE TO FIX SOMETHING!

MONDAY:

When we got up it was nice out but just as soon as we started carrying in bags and bags of things from the motor home, it poured!  It didn't last long so no harm done.

I HAD ENOUGH FOOD FOR ANOTHER WEEK!

I washed clothes almost every day in the motor home and you should see how many piles I have for today.  What to heck?
In and out of motor home and by lunch we were ready for a nap.

Then our son called Bob asking if he wanted to go fishing.  Well, I could hear the excitement in Bob's voice and I was downstairs.  So off they went.  I told them to EAT OUT.  I wasn't waiting a meal for them, when who knows when they will give up fishing.

I've quickly gone thru the mail.  Guess I'll just put it all in order for another day.

TUESDAY:
We did some more unloading as I forgot everything under the kitchen sink of motor home that will freeze.  I also brought in all the spices and seasoning envelopes from above stove.  Then I got into checking the expiration dates.  My goodness, I had some old dates on many of the containers so in the waste basket they went.  Bob continued washing windows until he had them all done inside, then he ran the vacuum sweeper.  He still has to winterize the water lines and my Splendie washing machine..
But Bob has other problems now!  He wants to mow the lawn and before leaving on the trip, he accidentally poured the wrong tank of gas in his "precious" John Deere.  Yes, he has changed the spark plugs and it didn't start.  Hoya, Hoya!

After supper I worked on my quilt for a couple hours.  I'm learning a few more important things....matching the design takes some patience with pinning and every piece has to be exact with cutting & 1/4"seam.

WEDNESDAY:
I don't know what to work on first.  I'm flipping around.  Visa card statement is here.  Guess I"ll put the sales slips in order for that.

Bob is off to buy something else to fix the John Deere.

The girls are coming over Thursday night to paint pumpkins so I have two choices; clean house or bake.  I need to get doing something.  I cleaned house and finished putting up the Dept. 56 Halloween items.

THURSDAY:
Bob went fishing with Joe.  I have the day to myself.

After a few miscellaneous jobs, I started baking about ten o'clock.  I decided on the pumpkin, date, nut cookie recipe.  Since you have to open a can of pumpkin for one cup for the recipe; I decided to double the batch to use all the pumpkin up.  I was baking for some time as I only do one tray at a time because my oven gives "fits" and burns on one side.  (I have to watch and turn tray)  These cookies have a real good Carmel icing which makes the cookie but it takes a while to ice.  I ended up with two Tupperware containers full so I packed some for the girls to bring home.  We don't need two batches sitting around here!  Bob tells me that he already ate 21 cookies!  Cookie Monster!

I had a nap, then a shower and waited for the company to come.  Betsy had ordered pizza and wings for all.  Activities about to begin!

FRIDAY:
I got up with a sore throat!  Rats!

Geese were all over in the field.  I didn't see them at night coming in.    They stay for a couple hours and then take off again.

Bob and I made some payments in the morning then he went outside.  I putzed with my sewing.  I just don't feel like doing much.

SATURDAY:
Runny nose and pressure over my eyes.  Poop!  When I have time to myself, then this comes on.  Unhappy camper!

Bob is out winterizing the motor home.  Draining all the lines, and putting in anti-freeze.  It isn't to nice out either; chilly.  Well, to me anyways as I keep getting the chills.
SUNDAY:
FIRST FROST!

I love to watch the geese in the morning. They waddle to the wet areas of the field.  Today I spotted two turkeys that tried to join them.  The geese stopped eating, put their heads up, like in an attack mode.
One more day with this sneezing, blowing and misery.  I worked on the quilt; I have it sewed together and put a border on it.  It's looking good.  Maybe during the week, I can work on the filling and backing.

BOB & ROCKY

Our grandson, Rocky, had called earlier during the week to ask Bob to take photos at an event he was to attend for today.  Rocky works for a Beauty Salon & Supply Design company and this event was for beauticians to be held at Salvatore's Italian Gardens in Buffalo.  It's a beautiful restaurant with very good food.  Bob reports a good turn out; over 100 attendees.

I wanted to watch the Steeler's game but I couldn't find it on any channel.  The Bill's were on several.  I heard they both lost so guess I didn't miss a thing.

About it for this week with our activities slowed down.  Hope we all have a good coming week.
Thanks for clicking in.
