BABY ENZO, TRIM HEALTHY MAMA, THE ARGYS

MONDAY:
I was up early, had my coffee on the porch, and looked for deer out in the field.  There has been several the last couple days.  I even saw a fawn running around, his head and tail was all that showed above the green bean crop.  Cute to watch.
I sorted our washing and started the washer.  I had some posting to do so I worked on the computer.
Bob had a flat tire on his John Deere cart so he brought that to Sloat's Tire to be fixed.  He picked up a loaf of bread for lunch while out.  He has been trying to figure out what's wrong with my printer, it jammed up.

HE HAS IT BACK TOGETHER.

Mid afternoon, we decided to go in the pool.  We were really lazy but forced ourselves to get in there and exercise a bit.  Time is running short to use the pool.
Supper was an ordeal as the available groceries are low.  Need a grub run!  TV finished the day.  A beautiful big sunset went down.  As the Girl Scouts say, "Day is done, gone the sun!"
TUESDAY:
What a beautiful day!  I was up early again and the fields were nice and clear, no fog.  The deer were out.  The farmers were harvesting the back, right field.  Their machine is huge and noisy.  Lots of dust!

I putzed around in the kitchen putting dishes away and emptying the dish washer.  I wasn't quite either.  I wanted to go for groceries early before it got hot out and Bob had expressed that he wanted to go; so get up already!  After he did rise, he ate, then had an e mail to put out for our camping group.  It was 10:00 am before we left.  After the stores we went to the Farmers' Market for a few things.
It's always a job putting stuff away.  I did most of it and washed the veggies then put on my bathing suit and went out to enjoy the pool before it was supper time.  The water and weather was perfect!

OUR BERMUDA

After supper I watered the flower pots around the pool.  They are not doing so good; this is the last time I plant geraniums.   They are dying out.  I put bug dust on them last week.  The white plant (?) is doing just fine in the same pots.  I have another planter with petunias  and one big marigold and it is gorgeous!

SO PRETTY

We are watching TV a bit then going to read.

WEDNESDAY:
A cool day, a big difference in temp.  Bob went for a haircut bright and early.  I put our dinner in the crock pot as we were going to Lockport for my hair appointment and to see the Great Grandson, Enzo. It rained most of the way up there.
After doing the carrots and onions, while fixing the crock pot meal, I was frustrated peeling the fresh mushrooms.  I thought there ought to be an easier way.  So I boiled some water and put those puppies in there and blanched them.  The skin peeled right off in bigger pieces than under cold water.  This probably wouldn't be good for a cold plate/salad, and my sister is probably gasping that I would do that but what to heck.  Try anything once.

Bob and Joe had a project to work on while I was at the beauty shop.  They were putting up a new light with fan paddles in a bedroom.  Bob and Debbie picked me up about 4:30 and we dropped Debbie off at a garage to pick up her car, then went to see the baby.  He is so cute.  He slept most of the time but he squirmed around some and made cute faces.

ALSO SEE MY BEAUTIFUL NEW PERM

Back at home, dinner was good even thou I forgot to put potatoes in the crock pot.  Bob put the gravy on the meat and a piece of bread.   Since it rained, Bob is watching some X-Files that are spooky.  I'm going to read.

THURSDAY:
Here we go back to Lockport for Bob's quarterly check up as we couldn't get the two days appointments combined.  Doc was quick so we headed off to Tonawanda for the afternoon wake of a camping friend.
I didn't have supper planned as I figured we would have to do the evening calling hours and eat out.   We decided to eat at Miss Batavia.  I had the Pittsburgh salad and I chowed down those french fries on top so fast, so good.

FRIDAY:
It's after one o'clock and I just got out of the kitchen, and we haven't had lunch yet.  Rats!
I'm making cucumber salad like my Mama used to make - soak the slices in salt water till they wilt then put dressing on them.
I BOUGHT THIS GADGET ON QVC.
EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE ONE!
I may as well share as I don't know how long I'll continue this episode- One of our friends had mentioned to me the meal plan/diet book called TRIM HEALTHY MAMA.  She has had  huge success with it.  I'm talking 40 pounds, that's to be admired.  The book is as successful as that SHADES OF GREY thing.
So I evaluate myself: I have dun lap.  We have had grogginess after lunches from eating to much.  I look at other retirees, their not all over weight.  Oh why did I notice that?  I dieted all my working years.  I'm sick of it.
So I ordered the book on Amazon.  It's written by two sisters and it came last week one day.  I read and I read; man it's confusing.  An E meal and a S meal. It's comical too.  They throw in relatives...Uncle Fred is Fuel power, Grandma is a crossover - always saying-eat, eat and another.   The sisters debate each other on products.

There are lots of weird products that I don't have in my cupboard and can't find in local grocery stores.  Maybe if I had been a health nut prior there would be some on hand.  I was very surprised to find curry there this morning to go in the crock pot curry chicken.

Bob is very interested. He came upstairs and plopped right down at the table and helped himself to my pancakes.  (Oatmeal, egg whites, and cottage cheese)
THEY ARE GOOD!
3 MEALS PER BATCH

In the grocery store, Bob still likes to read the labels on dairy products having been in milk manufacturing all those years.  While there, here he comes with a can of Lite coconut milk.  "You need this."  I do?  Okay Bob.  Don't you think I should read the book a little more and see how to use it?

SATURDAY:
Our morning was a drive up to Brockport to go to Wegman's for a few things that I can't find in our grocery stores.  That store is beautiful!  So much nice looking produce.

Our friends from our previous camping group (Argys) are here from the Villages, Fl. so I arranged a reservation for dinner at Bohn's so the rest of the group  could all visit with them.  We had a good time catching up about each other and our families.

SUNDAY:
Another nice day.  We buzzed over to Wal*Mart to pick up some photos that we had sent for development.  I also looked for a sympathy card.
After lunch, it  was head for the pool!  I really didn't accomplish much today.

We have had a good relaxing week.  Hope you had one too.
