MONDAY:
Mostly a I see it, do it, kinda day. I made more favors and more cupcake wrappers for Erin's shower this weekend. More guests have RSVP than first expected so more had to be made.
When I heard that we have another cold week coming, I was put out! I made up my mind since the cold wasn't going away that I'd put my Snowmen decorations away so I didn't have to look at them anymore. Nuf already! In the middle of the day, I was in the mood to go out for supper, maybe get a Pittsburgh Salad. But by supper time, I was just to cold to go out. Wimpy ahe? What a fool, then I had to cook.
I started another book last night, detective story. Love the suspense.
TUESDAY:
A second day of ugh! I did see a Cardinal so that made me happy.
It takes a while to come down from such a wonderful weekend. I want to mention the chance to win a real diamond at the LLS Diamond Ball.
Each table had a decorated bag (lunch bag size) on it. When instructed, each table was to open the bag and pass out the small jewelry bags inside to each guests at the table.
Then we were instructed to open our bags. All but five guests thru out the dinning room received a pretty stone. The lucky five guests who didn't receive a stone, received a piece of paper with the number 1-5 on it. These 5 people were asked to go up to the stage and each one was instructed to pick again another bag off a bulletin board. They opened them. One of the five received a colored paper telling them they were the lucky diamond winner. A one carat stone, donated by a local jeweler, neat ahe.
OUR POLISHED STONES |
I have been on the computer most of day catching up accounts while pushing the wash thru.
I was waiting on a delivery that may have spruced up my day but alas, it didn't even come.
Bob was on the phone with Quicken for an hour and some, problems again. That program is not what it used to be - OR - I still have some virus problems lurking.
WEDNESDAY:
So darn cold! I have to shower and it's cold. Bob was up and about so he offered to run to Oliver's candies to pick up the order for the shower. (Chocolate wedding rings to tie on favor) The shower will be over by the time I post this so it's not telling any secrets now.
After lunch we drove to Lockport. Hair cut time again. Debbie had requested Bob to stay at her house and wait for a delivery as she was still at work, so I left him off while I went to beauty shop. After we visited with Debbie and had coffee. Back at home, I thru together a Rindo family dish that Bob loves. It's cooked wide noodles served cold, with cold tuna and cottage cheese. Then he puts sugar on it! Ugh! I don't know if this is some special Hungarian dish or what but he grew up with it. My Stampin Up package came today so after supper I had new treats to enjoy. I didn't stay up long, I just ran out of steam.
THURSDAY:
Well, I had a full day. I made banana bread and chocolate chip cookies then I started cleaning house, dusting and sweeping. (Upstairs and down) Bob came along a did the kitchen and bath room floors. That's a big help.
Somewhere in the middle of the day, I wanted to look up a You Tube on Quilting. Brian Williams had a spot on the news about a lady who turned a hobby into a business. I think her name is Jenny, and her company is The Missouri Star. I watched a couple videos, she is a good teacher. She has a web site and you can send your quilts into her and she will quilt (finish) them for you. She has all the new fancy machines and products. She has 85 employees. They want to open a restaurant now as customers need a place to eat. Apparently, the town isn't much!
During the news, I heard them say that we have had 48 days of freezing temperatures. No wonder we are all sick of it. After supper I made a couple cards. They are getting easier now. Practice makes perfect. (almost)

FRIDAY:
We putzed around during the early morning until time to go to Holly and pick up our cookie order for the shower. Betsy and I ordered cookies from a friend's niece who makes all the Italian types.

Now the happy wanders, drove to Albion for a stop at McDonald's and then on to Medina. There I visited a formal shop called Blissits to see if I liked any dresses for the wedding. It was a bust, no luck.More yet, on to BJ's and Tops in Batavia.
Our evening was real exciting...couch potatoes after that marathon!
SATURDAY:
Betsy and I was up early to shower and drive out to Buttercrumbs in Corfu to pick up the cupcakes for the shower. That place smelled soooooo good when we entered. Cinnamon! We picked out some munchies to have with coffee and the staff help us load up the 6 dozen cupcakes.
